McDougle was promoted to the Jets' active roster on Saturday, Ralph Vacchiano of Sportsnet New York reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougle was promoted due to the Jets possibly being without both Buster Skrine (knee) and Marcus Williams (ankle) in Week 10. He's unlikely to be much more than a depth corner and special teams player.

McDougle was waived by the Jets on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
McDougle was originally drafted in the third round of the 2014 draft, but his rookie season was quickly derailed by a torn ACL. The Jets had hoped that McDougle would rebound in 2015, but the 25-year-old never seemed to return to his old self after the injury.

McDougle (hamstring) did not participate in Thursday's practice, Eric Allen of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets drafted McDougle back in 2014 with the expectation that he could soon be a cornerstone of the team's secondary. Unfortunately, a torn ACL and other minor injuries have plagued their plans. Rookie Juston Burris and Darryl Morris are likely to see increased reps during his absence.

McDougle suffered a torn left ACL during Sunday's practice, the New York Daily News reports.
McDougle missed much of his final college season at Maryland with a shoulder injury and will now be sidelined via injury to begin his professional career. The rookie third-rounder's injury comes on the same day starter Dee Milliner endured an ankle injury, leaving the Jets even thinner at cornerback.

Jets signed No. 80 overall CB Dexter McDougle to a four-year contract.
A quick-twitch mover with a physical playing style but short arms (30 5/8") and sub-optimal height (5-foot-10), McDougle's size limitations may relegate him to the slot for Gang Green. He does offer upside to develop into a quality nickel back or starter. McDougle will likely focus on special teams as a rookie, but his sheer athletic tools give him a chance for more sooner rather than later.
