Smith secured all three targets for 16 yards in the Eagles' 24-20 win over the Cowboys on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
As Smith's line corroborates, it was a quiet night for the speedster to open the 2025 campaign. Smith finished behind both Saquon Barkley and Dallas Goedert in receptions on the night, while No. 3 receiver Jahan Dotson outgained him by 43 yards on the same number of catches. Nevertheless, there's no question more productive days are ahead for Smith, and a Week 2 road rematch with a Chiefs team he recorded 69 yards and a touchdown against in Super Bowl LIX in February may provide just the platform for Smith's first noteworthy performance of the new season.

Smith (groin) doesn't appear on the Eagles' injury report in advance of Thursday's game against the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
That's also the case with A.J. Brown (hamstring), so the Eagles will indeed have both wideouts available for Week 1 action. As the coming season approaches, Smith and Brown remain the team's clear-cut top two options at their position, with Jahan Dotson, John Metchie and Darius Cooper rounding out Philadelphia's WR corps.

Smith (groin) is practicing Thursday, Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith and A.J. Brown are both present at practice for a second consecutive day, as the star WR tandem continues to ramp things up ahead of the regular-season opener against Dallas on Thursday, Sept. 4. All indications remain that the Eagles expect both Smith and Brown to be available Week 1. A groin injury has hampered Smith's participation level since Aug. 19.

Smith is not practicing Tuesday due to a groin injury, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith is present at Tuesday's practice in street clothes, per Eliot Shorr-Parks of Sports Radio 94 WIP Philadelphia, but he and fellow star wideout A.J. Brown (hamstring) are not practicing. While neither Smith nor Brown appear to be dealing with any sort of issue that could threaten their Week 1 availability, the WR tandem figures to be held out of Friday's preseason finale against the Jets if they're at anything less than 100 percent -- assuming any of Philadelphia's starters are given the green light to suit up versus New York.

Smith (back) is practicing Sunday, Zach Berman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith had been out of practice since Monday while dealing with a tight back, though by the end of the week he was able to run with trainers and warm up with teammates. It appears the star wideout now is feeling well enough to return to practice, though it's not clear if he'll be limited at all. Regardless, there doesn't appear to be any reason for concern about his availability for the start of the regular season.

Smith (back) is missing a fourth straight practice Friday, but he's progressed to warming up with teammates and running with trainers, Brooks Kubena of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
He first missed practice Monday, with reports attributing it to back soreness or a back contusion. It sounds like Smith will be back in practice soon enough, occupy his usual role as the No. 2 receiver in Philadelphias's narrowly concentrated offense.

Smith will miss Monday's practice with back tightness, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the first report of any health/availability issue for Smith this year. Including playoffs, he's played 72 of Philadelphia's 77 games since the team drafted him in 2021, with a pair of Week 18 rest absences and three games missed due to injuries (all last season). Smith likely will be back at practice before long.

Smith brought in four of five targets for 69 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 40-22 win over the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Smith had enjoyed his fair share of success against Steve Spagnuolo's Chiefs defenses in the previous two meetings, including the Eagles' narrow Super Bowl LVII loss to Kansas City two years prior when he'd recorded seven receptions for 100 yards. Therefore, Smith's team-leading yardage total Sunday wasn't exactly a surprise, and he got to that number with a back-breaking 46-yard touchdown grab on a perfectly thrown ball by Jalen Hurts late in the third quarter. Smith was particularly consistent down the stretch of the regular season and throughout the postseason, posting a combined 39-470-4 line on 44 targets from Week 15 on. Smith enters the second season of a $75 million extension in 2025, so he'll once again project as a key component of the offense as the Eagles look to win back-to-back titles.

Smith (hamstring) doesn't have a designation for Sunday's Super Bowl LIX matchup against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Smith followed up no activity during the first week of Super Bowl prep with three consecutive capped sessions this week due to a hamstring injury. Despite the limitations along the way, he's cleared for Sunday's game, looking to build upon the 12-121-0 line on 12 targets that he's accrued so far in three playoff contests.

Smith (hamstring) practiced in a limited capacity Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
After sitting out the first week of Super Bowl prep due to a hamstring injury, Smith now has logged back-to-back capped sessions to begin this week, giving him only one more chance to get back to full participation or else risk entering the weekend with a designation for Sunday's game against the Chiefs. Friday's practice report will reveal whether or not that comes to pass.
