Mays is listed as the No. 4 running back on Green Bay's initial depth chart of the regular season.
EDGE Analysis
The Packers list their trio of rookie running backs behind starter Ty Montgomery in the order they were drafted. That leaves Mays, a seventh-round selection, at the bottom of the depth chart, while fourth-round pick Jamaal Williams figures to get most of the backup work Week 1 against Seattle. Fifth-round pick Aaron Jones is sandwiched in between at the No. 3 slot.

Mays had six carries for 18 yards and two receptions for 36 yards in Thursday's preseason victory over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Mays tallied 21 touches over the Packers' four preseason games, but he totaled just 99 yards and averaged 2.7 YPC, so it remains to be seen if he did enough to make the cut. If he does, he figures to slot in as the Packers' No. 4 running back.

Mays had five carries for 13 yards and one reception for 10 yards in Saturday's preseason victory over the Redskins.
EDGE Analysis
Mays is making a push to move up the depth chart, and he didn't hurt his standing Saturday. However, he did not take another leap, either. He remains the Packers' fourth option at the running back position behind Ty Montgomery (leg) and fellow rookies Jamaal Williams and Aaron Jones.

Mays has worked as the Packers' No. 2 running back in practice this week, ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
In reality, Mays is more like Green Bay's third running back, but with starter Ty Montgomery (leg) sidelined, the rookie is showcasing what he can do. Mays seems to have jumped Aaron Jones on the depth chart, and could see increased playing time in Saturday's preseason game against Washington.

Mays caught one pass for five yards in Thursday's preseason victory over the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Mays' opportunities to impress Thursday were limited, as he was on the field for just seven offensive snaps, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. He currently slots in fourth on the depth chart at the running back position for the Packers.
