Broncos LE Derek Wolfe (illness) has resumed practicing.
Wolfe practiced Wednesday for the first time since suffering seizure-like symptoms on a team bus ride back on Nov. 29. He's not expected to play against the Raiders Sunday, but he does have a chance to contribute when the Broncos open their playoff run. The Broncos could certainly use him in the wake of Von Miller's ACL tear as Wolfe has four sacks in 11 games on the year.

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe (illness) has been ruled out for Week 16.
Denver's run defense has been getting gashed with Wolfe out of the lineup, giving Dennis Johnson some flex-play appeal in fantasy championship week.

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe (illness) is not expected to play in Thursday's game against the Chargers.
Wolfe is still recovering from a seizure-like episode he suffered in late November. The second-year man is expected back for a limited practice this week, but he won't play in a game until Week 16 at the earliest. Wolfe had 16 tackles and four sacks in 11 games before the incident.

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe was released from the hospital Monday.
Per the Denver Post, a battery of tests have still not revealed exactly why Wolfe suffered a seizure-like episode on the team bus Friday afternoon. He's not expected to play in this week's game against the Titans. "Right now we're not thinking about his availability or any of that stuff," coach John Fox said. "We're just concerned about his health, and medical people are working through that as we speak."

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe (illness) has been ruled out for Week 13.
Wolfe didn't travel with the team to Kansas City on Friday and has been taken to the hospital for further testing. With DT Kevin Vickerson (hip, injured reserve) also sidelined, it's a matchup upgrade for Jamaal Charles and the Chiefs running game. A combination of Robert Ayers and Malik Jackson will replace Wolfe in the starting lineup.

It's a matchup boost for the Kansas City running game. Wolfe is a mini J.J. Watt at left defensive end. He's started 11-of-11 games and has four sacks.

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe (cervical strain) resumed practicing on Tuesday.
He was a limited participant, but this has him on track for Week 1, which is nine days from today for the Broncos. For as scary as Wolfe's injury looked, that's all it ended up: A scare.

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe (cervical strain) will "probably" be ready for Week 1.
"Looked a lot worse than it was," Wolfe said Thursday. "It ended up just being a cervical strain, which is scary, but I'm just happy I can be back on the field." Wolfe is done for the preseason, but barring a setback, he'll be ready to roll for the opener. It's good news for a Broncos team that can ill afford any more hits to its front seven.

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe made the team flight home following his scary neck injury in Saturday night's preseason game.
Wolfe left the field in an ambulance after what the team called a "cervical spine injury." After Wolfe passed a "battery of tests" at the hospital, the Broncos are optimistic. "So far the reports we've gotten are positive in the sense that there are no broken bones," said coach John Fox. "CT scan was positive and right now we're waiting on an MRI so, so far all the news is good."

Broncos LE Derek Wolfe (neck) passed a "battery of tests" after departing Saturday's game against the Seahawks, and may join the team for its flight back to Denver.
It's remarkably good news after Wolfe had to be immobilized and loaded into an ambulance on the field. He was evaluated for a "cervical spine injury," which could have potentially been career-ending. As it is, there's now an outside chance Wolfe could be ready for next Saturday's preseason game against the Rams. We highly doubt that will be the case, but it appears the pass-rushing deficient Broncos have dodged a major bullet.
