Williams tallied five carries for 15 yards and reeled in one of his three targets for another 11 yards Sunday versus the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
Williams didn't see a considerable drop in his snap count overall. Still, he did see a significant shift in his touch count, finishing the day with just six total after averaging more than 18 per game while Clyde Edwards-Helaire was sidelined. Edwards-Helaire's return likely deprives Williams of a lot of his fantasy utility, but he should still contribute in some capacity as both a receiver and a runner moving forward.

Williams will likely have to split touches in Sunday's game against the Cowboys after Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) was activated from injured reserve Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Although Edwards-Helaire is questionable for Sunday's Week 11 matchup, it wouldn't be surprising to see him take the field. While Williams will likely continue to play a role in Kansas City's backfield after he played effectively in Edwards-Helaire's absence across the last five weeks, he'll have less upside since the second-year pro will presumably take on a starting role in his return.

Williams rushed 11 times for 43 yards and caught all nine of his targets for 101 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-14 rout of the Raiders.
EDGE Analysis
If you simply look at the rushing stats, Williams' night was nothing to write home about; it was the 26-year-old's work as a receiver that made waves. The nine receptions and 101 receiving yards were both new career highs for the fourth-year pro. Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) resumed practicing this week, but he was not activated off of injured reserve despite being eligible. This does open the door for the Chiefs' original starting tailback to return next week against the Cowboys, but Williams' strong play when called upon (621 combined yards and five touchdowns) this year could keep him involved in the offense regardless.

Williams ran for 70 yards on 19 carries while catching three passes for seven yards on four targets against Green Bay on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Williams was able to hold off Derrick Gore (three carries for 13 yards) after losing 11 carries to him in Week 8, so this effort might mean Williams reasserted himself as the team's clear top runner out of himself, Gore and Jerick McKinnon. It's not clear whether Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) will be able to return to the Chiefs for their Week 10 road match against Las Vegas, but Williams will likely return to a more abbreviated role whenever Edwards-Helaire can play again.

Williams rushed 13 times for 49 yards and caught all six of his targets for 61 yards in Monday night's 20-17 win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Williams saw backup Derrick Gore enjoy a first-half outburst that enabled him to finish with 11 carries for 48 yards and a touchdown, but the veteran gained stream during the second half. With a combination of handoffs and check-down receptions, Williams ultimately posted 110 yards from scrimmage, his most of this season. With it currently unknown whether usual starter Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) is expected to return in Week 9 versus the Packers, the outlooks of Williams, Gore and Jerick McKinnon could be dependent on Edwards-Helaire's status as the week unfolds, making Kansas City's backfield situation worthwhile to monitor.

Williams carried the ball five times for 20 yards in Sunday's 27-3 loss to the Titans. He added three receptions for 30 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Kansas City fell behind 27-0 before halftime, which limited Williams to only five carries. He wasn't particularly efficient even given the opportunity, with his longest rush of the day going for 11 yards. Williams did add to his production as a receiver, matching his season high in receptions and posting his best game from a yards perspective. Though the Chiefs' offense hasn't excelled as expected of late, Williams should have a strong chance to bounce back in Week 8 against the Giants.

Williams recorded 21 rushes for 62 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 31-13 win over Washington. He added three receptions for 27 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Williams saw 21 of the team's 28 rushing attempts in the absence of Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee). He wasn't particularly efficient, as he averaged only 3.0 yards per carry, and his longest rush went for 11 yards. However, he found his way to the end zone on two occasions, once from two yards away and the other three. With Edwards-Helaire out at least two more contests, Williams should be in line to see plenty of opportunity.

Williams is on track to make his first career start Sunday against Washington after the Chiefs placed Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) on injured reserve Tuesday, Nate Taylor of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While head coach Andy Reid hasn't officially named a starter in place of Edwards-Helaire, Williams is in position to draw the assignment after he played 77 percent of the Chiefs' offensive snaps in last Sunday's loss to the Bills once Edwards-Helaire checked out of the contest midway through the third quarter. It's worth noting, however, that a negative game script may have played a factor in Williams dominating the running-back snaps over Jerick McKinnon, who was on the field for only 23 percent of the plays after Edwards-Helaire departed. If the favored Chiefs can establish an early lead against Washington and hold it for most of the contest, Williams could end up ceding more work to McKinnon this week, but the fantasy outlooks for both players are brighter in any case with Edwards-Helaire at least temporarily out of the picture.

Williams is likely in line for a starting role after Clyde Edwards-Helaire suffered a sprained MCL in Sunday's loss to the Bills, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams entered Sunday's game after Edwards-Helaire went down, and he recorded five carries for 27 yards while hauling in three of five targets for 18 yards. While Edwards-Helaire's injury isn't as serious as the team initially feared, he's still slated to miss time. As a result, Williams should be the lead back with Jerick McKinnon also on hand as the Chiefs prepare for a favorable matchup against Washington in Week 6.

Williams took over for Clyde Edwards-Helaire (knee) in the second half of Sunday's loss to Buffalo, finishing with five carries for 27 yards and three receptions for 18 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Edwards-Helaire went down with an apparent knee injury in the second half of Sunday's contest, and while he was eventually able to limp off the field, the back was clearly in pain. We will have to wait for an update on the Chiefs' starting running back's knee, but Williams should take over if CEH is forced to miss any time. The 26-year-old would receive a huge boost in value if he is asked to start for this potent offense, so do not hesitate on pulling the trigger on the waiver wire in the event he does start against Washington on Sunday.
