Reynaud was released by the Bears on Sunday. Reynaud was brought in last week to provide competition in the return game, but he did not show enough to stick around past the first round of cuts.

Reynaud signed a one-year contract with the Bears on Monday, ESPNChicago.com reports. With none of the Bears' potential kick return options doing much to distinguish themselves in the first two preseason games, Reynaud will enter into the competition with the hope of claiming those duties. Reynaud returned two punts and a kickoff for touchdowns while with the Titans in 2012, but lost out on the role last season.

Free agent KR/RB Darius Reynaud worked out for the Bears on Wednesday. Reynaud appeared in nine games between the Titans and Jets last season, notching one carry. He'd provide return depth for a team that parted ways with Devin Hester.
