Ravens waived CB Danny Gorrer. The move clears a spot for S James Ihedigbo. Gorrer held his own in limited snaps on defense last season, but was primarily a special teamer. Ihedigbo is far more accomplished on special teams.

Ravens promoted CB Danny Gorrer from the practice squad. With both Jimmy Smith (high-ankle sprain) and Chris Carr (hamstring) out for Week 2, Gorrer might actually see a few snaps in the Ravens secondary. He should be primarily used on special teams.
