Texans released QB Dan Orlovsky. The writing was on the wall when Matt Leinart re-signed as Matt Schaub's backup. The Texans like sixth-rounder T.J. Yates in the developmental role, so there was no room for Orlovsky and his $2.75 million salary. He may have to accept a role as a third QB this time around.
