Arnold has been one of the standout performers in Panthers training camp, Joseph Person of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold reportedly has 'caught everything thrown to him' as he rejoins Carolina's offensive coordinator Joe Brady after previously spending time with him in New Orleans. The 6-foot-6, 240-pounder signed with the Panthers this offseason after a career-best campaign with the Cardinals last year, and although his blocking can stand to improve, his familiarity and pass-catching prowess could add an extra dimension to Brady's scheme. Overall, that makes Arnold a worthwhile option to monitor in the buildup to the regular season.

Arnold has shown a good connection with quarterback Sam Darnold during training camp, Alaina Getzenberg of The Charlotte Observer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold was signed this spring to improve a tight end position that generated minimal production for coordinator Joe Brady last season. The 26-year-old is fresh off career highs with the Cardinals, and despite switching to his third team in five years, Arnold has reportedly built an early rapport with his new quarterback in Carolina. Although the Panthers' top three weapons of Christian McCaffrey, DJ Moore and Robby Anderson should dominate the touches, Arnold has a good chance to emerge as the team's fourth option this season.

Arnold is eager for his opportunity to take on a bigger role with the Panthers, Darin Gantt of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold signed a two-year deal with Carolina this offseason after posting a career-best 31 catches on 45 targets for 438 yards and four touchdowns for the Cardinals last term. Although it'll be the formerly undrafted Arnold's third team in five years, the 26-year-old's upward trajectory has him anticipated to start at tight end, where the Panthers got little help from Ian Thomas in 2020. Rookie third-rounder Tommy Tremble also joins Arnold and Thomas ahead of the upcoming campaign, as coordinator Joe Brady has emphasized getting more production from the position. However, with Arnold leading the group and getting more comfortable with quarterback Sam Darnold over OTAs and minicamp, he's embraced his chance for a larger role in his new setting, making him one to watch in advance of the 2021 campaign.

The Panthers and Arnold agreed to a two-year contract Friday, Peter Schrager of Fox Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since the Cardinals plucked him off waivers in December 2019, Arnold developed a nice connection with Kyler Murray, reeling in 37 of 55 passes for 540 yards and six touchdowns in 19 games. Such production equates to an impressive 9.8 yards per target, with 16.2 percent of his catches going for scores. Arnold will slot in at the top of the Panthers' tight end depth chart.

Arnold recorded 31 receptions (on 45 targets) for 438 yards and four touchdowns in 16 games during the 2020 season.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold paced position mates Maxx Williams, Darrell Daniels and Seth DeValve in all statistical categories, including offensive snaps (470 of 1,131, or 41.6 percent). On top of that, Arnold ranked third on the team in receiving yards and TD catches, and fifth in receptions and targets. His 14.1 YPC ranked first among qualified tight ends, a shade ahead of Rob Gronkowski's 13.8. Arnold enters the offseason as an unrestricted free agent, so it'll be interesting to see if the Cardinals retain him, or he takes his services elsewhere.

Arnold (back) was a full participant during the Cardinals' practice Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold was limited with a back issue last Friday, and he was handed a questionable designation heading into Arizona's Week 16 matchup against the 49ers. He fielded his third-highest offensive snap total of the season in that contest, however, collecting three catches and 25 yards while coughing up one fumble to the opposition. Now back to full-go in practice, the 25-year-old looks to be in the clear for an upcoming regular-season finale against the Rams.

Arnold (back) was a limited participant at Wednesday's practice, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold was questionable for last week's matchup against the Cardinals due to this back injury. He managed to suit up and play 36 snaps on offense, his highest snap count since Week 2. With a limited practice to start the week, Arnold should play in Sunday's season finale against the Rams as long as he avoids a setback. Arnold could be in line for another increased workload if neither Maxx Williams (ankle) nor Darrell Daniels (hamstring) can play.

Arnold recorded three catches (on five targets) for 25 yards and lost a fumble during Sunday's 20-12 loss to the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
It was anything but a clean game for Arnold, who coughed up the ball at the end of an 11-yard grab in the third quarter. He also was evaluated for a head injury during the contest but was able to return to the field. With Maxx Williams (ankle) sidelined, Arnold paced Cardinals tight ends by logging 36 of 82 offensive snaps, with Darrell Daniels handling 30 and Seth DeValve earning 19. Among that group, Arnold is consistently looked at by Kyler Murray (leg), but his four scores are offset by just three games of 50-plus yards, making him TD-dependent.

Arnold (back) is active for Saturday's contest against the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold made a last-minute appearance on the Cardinals' injury report this week, being listed as limited Thursday and questionable for this game. Still, he'll gut out his back issue and may even earn a bit more work with Maxx Williams (ankle) sidelined. Arizona's available tight ends Week 16 are Arnold, Darrell Daniels and Seth DeValve.

Arnold is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against the 49ers with a back injury, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arnold didn't appear on the Cardinals' first two injury reports of Week 16 before being listed as a limited participant at Thursday's session due to the back issue. With Arnold's status for Saturday's game now muddled, the Cardinals are lacking in healthy bodies at tight end. The other two options at the position currently on the 53-man roster -- Darrell Daniels and Maxx Williams -- are also listed as questionable with hamstring and ankle injuries, respectively.
