Eagles signed CB Curtis Marsh. The Eagles were already thin at corner and now starter Bradley Fletcher is nursing a pectoral strain. Marsh was a third-round pick of Philly in 2011, but was waived after breaking his hand in the second preseason game this season.

Bengals waived CB Curtis Marsh. The move clears a roster spot for LB Michael Boley. Marsh appeared in two games after being signed on September 18, but was held off the stat-sheet.

The Eagles weren't expecting much out Marsh this year, but the reports out of camp have been overwhelmingly positive. Drawing comparisons to former Eagles corner Bobby Taylor, Marsh is "tall, rangy, athletic and very smart." He won't be any higher than fourth on a stacked depth chart.

The Eagles don't expect No. 90 overall pick Curtis Marsh to compete for a starting job until his third season. Marsh certainly has a starter-caliber skill set, but the former college running back will take time to develop after playing just two seasons of corner at Utah State. He could be the eventual replacement for Asante Samuel, who will be 32 years old and owed a whopping $10.4 million by Marsh's third season.
