"He's done well I think toward these last four or five days of OTAs and the mini-camp," coach Mike Munchak said. "He just looks physical. He looks bigger, stronger, confident again, just how he was last year at this time."

When he was on the field, he was one of the worst middle linebackers in the league, failing to hold his own against the run. McCarthy was much better during his rookie season in 2011, however, and should have the inside track on remaining the Titans' middle linebacker heading into 2013.
