Ferrell (undisclosed) was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 23-year-old either tested positive for the virus himself or has been in close contact with an infected individual. Ferrell will be unavailable until he clears the league's COVID-19 protocols.

Ferrell has bulked up to 275 pounds as part of his offseason training regimen, Vic Tafur of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 2019 fourth overall pick is coming off an inconsistent but encouraging rookie campaign, in which he accumulated 38 total tackles, 4.5 sacks and five defended passes. Now eyeing a step forward in Year 2, Ferrell has focused his offseason training on bulking up 13 pounds and mastering tape study of opposing offensive linemen. "You wouldn't even recognize me," the 23-year-old said. Ferrell is locked in for a starting role for Las Vegas in 2020, and he could find himself on the radar of IDP fantasy leagues if he's indeed able to progress in his development.

Ferrell posted 38 tackles, 4.5 sacks and five pass breakups over 15 games in 2019.
EDGE Analysis
Ferrell was viewed by many as a reach at fourth overall in the 2019 NFL Draft, but he started every game he was healthy and accrued 15 quarterback pressures. Although fellow rookie Maxx Crosby stacked up 10 sacks, Ferrell drew plenty of attention from pass blockers to open up those lanes. The 22-year-old still managed to produce a signature game in Week 10 against the Chargers when he piled up eight tackles and 2.5 sacks, but he totaled just one sack over the final seven games. Ferrell will retain his starting role in 2020.

Ferrell recorded eight tackles (five solo) and 2.5 sacks in Thursday's 26-24 win over the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
The fourth-overall pick in April's draft took a while to get revved up this year with just 15 tackles and a sack over his first seven games. The Chargers had no answer for Ferrell in this outing, however, as tormented Rivers to stamp his best performance of the year. To be fair, Sam Tevi (knee) was inactive and Russell Okung (groin) left on the team's first offensive drive, leaving the Chargers with backups at both tackle positions. Still, it was impressive work by the rookie, and the Raiders hope he can carry the confidence into a Week 11 matchup against the Bengals' weak offensive front.

Ferrell (concussion) won't carry an injury designation into Sunday's game at Green Bay, Paul Gutierrez of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferrell sat out Week 5 due to the concussion but is good to go against the Packers coming out of the Raiders' bye week. The rookie first-round pick had 10 tackles (five solo) and one sack through his first four games.

Ferrell (concussion) was a full participant for Wednesday's practice, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferrell still resides in the league's mandated concussion protocol, but the fact that he's back to full practice suggests he's nearing full clearance. The 2019 first-round pick will need to get the full clearance from an independent neurologist in order to play Sunday, but if he can't go, look for Josh Mauro and Maxx Crosby to see an increase in snaps.

Ferrell (concussion) has been cleared to resume practicing Monday, Scott Bair of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ferrell is working his way through the league's five-step concussion protocol, and he appears to be nearing a return to full health coming off Oakland's bye week. In order to suit up Sunday versus the Packers, he'll need to receive medical clearance from an independent neurologist.

Ferrell (concussion) is inactive for Sunday's Week 5 tilt against the Bears in London.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie first-round pick missed practice all week, making his inactive status relatively unsurprising. Ferrell will have to clear the league-mandated protocol for head injuries before being allowed to return to the field.

Ferrell (concussion) is questionable for Sunday's game versus the Bears in London.
EDGE Analysis
Ferrell hasn't practiced this week while in the league's concussion protocol, so it's a bit surprising he received the questionable tag. The rookie first-round pick apparently still has a chance to play Sunday, though his status is firmly up in the air.

Ferrell (concussion) is not practicing Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Ferrell remains in the league's protocol for head injuries, and he has yet to practice this week. The rookie first-round pick appears to be trending towards sitting out Sunday's game against the Bears, though he'll have one more opportunity to practice in some capacity.
