Kirk (ankle) isn't expected to play in Friday's preseason game against the Browns, Aaron Wilson of ProFootballNetwork.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After not suiting up for the Hall of Fame Game, Kirk was spotted working on the side at Wednesday's practice due to an ankle issue, which will keep him in street clothes for the Jaguars' second exhibition. He'll have two more chances to get some work with quarterback Trevor Lawrence before the regular season, the first of them Saturday, Aug. 20 versus the Steelers. Along with Kirk, Laviska Shenault (hamstring) and Jamal Agnew won't be available Friday, leaving Marvin Jones, Zay Jones and Laquon Treadwell, among others, as the team's active wide receivers.

Kirk is working off to the side at Wednesday's practice due to an ankle injury, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury, while seemingly minor, will probably be reason enough to hold Kirk out of Friday's preseason game against Cleveland. The Jaguars are expected to play their other starters, and they're already a bit thin at wide receiver with depth options Laviska Shenault (ankle) and Jamal Agnew (hip) ruled out for Friday's game. Kirk, Marvin Jones and Zay Jones have been getting most of the first-team reps at training camp, with Kirk taking many snaps from the slot.

Kirk won't play in Thursday's Hall of Fame Game against the Raiders, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The same applies to fellow wideouts Marvin Jones, Zay Jones and Laviska Shenault, a context that will give a handful of players looking to secure depth roles in the team's passing offense an opportunity to log snaps in Thursday's preseason opener.

Kirk and the Jaguars agreed Monday to a four-year contract, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
EDGE Analysis
Per Albert Breer of SI.com, Kirk's deal is worth up to $84 million in total, with $72 million in base salary and $3 million in performance-based incentives available for each year of the contract. Regardless of the exact structure of the pact, it's clear that the Jaguars prioritized adding a pass catcher like Kirk in free agency with an eye toward bolstering the supporting cast of second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence. Kirk, who turned 25 this past November, is coming off a 2021 campaign in which he led the Cardinals in receiving yards (982), catches (77) and targets (103) while adding five touchdowns in 17 games.

Kirk is slated to sign with the Jaguars as an unrestricted free agent, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jacksonville continues to make splashes in the free-agent market, but Kirk marks the first addition to the skill-position ranks. He'll join Marvin Jones and Laviska Shenault as the top wide receiver options for second-year quarterback Trevor Lawrence in 2022. Kirk is coming off his most productive season overall as a pro last year, hauling in 77 of 103 targets for 982 yards and five touchdowns in 17 games with the Cardinals.

Kirk caught 6 of 10 targets for 51 yards in Monday night's 34-11 wild-card round loss to the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
Kirk led the Cardinals in all major receiving categories, going for a team-long gain of 23 yards as well. Despite Arizona ending its season on a sour note, Kirk overall enjoyed his best campaign as a pro. The wideout caught 77 of 103 targets for 982 yards and five touchdowns while not missing any games for the first time in his four-year career. On the back of that production, the 25-year-old is slated to enter free agency this offseason with his value on the rise, making it uncertain whether the Cardinals will be able to bring him back or not.

Kirk caught two passes for 43 yards on three targets against Seattle on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Kirk had a good on-paper matchup against the Seahawks and he was efficient with his three targets, but this is still a disappointing outcome in a game during which the Cardinals made every effort to win but still struggled on offense. It's a microcosm of Kirk's broader 2021 season -- he was almost automatic in terms of efficiency, catching 74.8 percent of his targets at 9.5 yards per target, but a limited snap count and modest target rate held him to just 77 receptions for 982 yards and five touchdowns despite the blistering efficiency. Kirk will likely need to produce better in the playoffs if the Cardinals are going to get where they want to go.

Kirk caught six of nine targets for 79 yards in Sunday's 25-22 win over the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
Kyler Murray did a good job spreading the ball around, as Kirk led the Cards in receiving yards but Zach Ertz led in receptions with seven, while Antoine Wesley was on the end of both of Murray's TD passes. Kirk has a 25-307-1 line on 36 targets over the last four games as the team's de facto No. 1 wideout, giving him plenty of momentum heading into a Week 18 clash with the Seahawks.

Kirk caught seven of nine passes for 48 yards during Saturday's 22-16 defeat to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
With DeAndre Hopkins (knee) beginning a lengthy absence following Week 14, Kirk has benefitted on the target front, seeing his biggest counts in the category of the campaign over the last two contests. Overall, Kirk put up a 16-142-1 line on 21 targets in that span, while tight end Zach Ertz managed 14-145-0 on 24 targets. The pair appear to be Kyler Murray's top options at the moment, so Kirk again should be poised for significant volume in the Cardinals' next game Sunday, Jan. 2 in Dallas.

Kirk caught nine of 12 targets for 94 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 30-12 loss to the Lions.
EDGE Analysis
Kirk stepped into the No. 1 wide receiver role in DeAndre Hopkins' (knee) absence, setting new season highs in catches and targets, but the rest of the Cardinals struggled as the team suffered a shocking loss to a Lions team that came into the game with a 1-11-1 record. His 26-yard touchdown with just 4:40 left in the game was too little too late, but it raised Kirk's season total to five heading into a Week 16 visit from the vulnerable Colts pass defense.
