Coach Mike Zimmer said Wednesday that he expects Beebe (ankle) to return from injured reserve after eight weeks, Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Vikings are optimistic Beebe won't need surgery to address the ligament damage in his ankle. The team re-signed Laquon Treadwell on Tuesday, giving Bisi Johnson some competition for the No. 3 receiver job.

The Vikings placed Beebe (ankle) on injured reserve Tuesday, Craig Peters of the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
For the time being, Beebe is expected to avoid surgery to address the ligament damage in his ankle, but the move to IR means he'll be sidelined for at least the next eight weeks. Minnesota signed Laquon Treadwell to the roster in a corresponding move to add depth to the team's receiver room while Beebe is on the mend.

The MRI that Beebe underwent Monday revealed torn ligaments in his ankle, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beebe will avoid surgery on the ankle for now, but the Vikings seem prepared to be without their No. 3 receiver and top punt returner for at least the Week 4 matchup with the Bears. The Vikings' frequent use of the fullback and two-tight end sets had limited Beebe's work at receiver this season, as he has yet to play more than 26 percent of the offensive snaps in any of the team's three games. Rookie Bisi Johnson will step into a meager role in three-wideout sets for as long as Beebe is sidelined.

Beebe will undergo an MRI on his injured ankle after Sunday's 34-14 win against the Raiders, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Prior to leaving the contest, Beebe muffed a punt, committed a 15-yard penalty for an illegal block above the waist, and didn't contribute anything on offense. The upcoming examination will determine if Beebe will require any time away from the field.

Beebe is questionable to return to Sunday's contest against the Raiders due to an ankle injury, Ben Goessling of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beebe didn't exactly have a banner performance before his departure, muffing one of his punt returns (it was recovered by teammate Kris Boyd) and committing a 15-yard penalty for an illegal block above the waist. As long as Beebe is sidelined, Bisi Johnson will slot in as the third wide receiver behind Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.

Beebe had one reception for 61 yards on two targets in Sunday's loss at Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Beebe has a firm hold on the No. 3 receiver role, but it's not a big factor in the Vikings offense as he has just three targets in two games. He played just 16 snaps on offense. Beebe has emerged as the primary punt returner with four returns for 25 yards Sunday.

Beebe had one reception for nine yards on his lone target in Sunday's win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
It's hard to get too much of a read on Beebe's usage in the offense on a day when the Vikings dominated on the ground (172 yards rushing) and only needed to throw 10 passes. Beebe looks set as the third receiver as he played 14 snaps on offense compared to Bisi Johnson's seven snaps. However, it remains to be seen if Beebe or any receiver other than Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs will have more than a token role in the passing game.

Beebe was targeted three times in Saturday's preseason win over Arizona but did not have a reception. He had one punt return for five yards.
EDGE Analysis
While Beebe didn't do much in Saturday's game, he did work with the first-team offense and that likely indicates he still has the inside track on the No. 3 WR role. It's not clear if he'll win the punt-return job, as he may be the backup to Amir Abdullah. Beebe may also win the job as the holder for field goals.

Beebe caught his only target for seven yards in Sunday's preseason win over the Seahawks.
EDGE Analysis
Beebe was only in on two drives with the first-team offense, so his low production out of the slot doesn't come as a huge surprise. The 25-year-old has an inside track to winning the third receiver role in Minnesota this season, but that role will be miles behind the production expected from starters Adam Thielen and Stephon Diggs. Still, there could be some deeper-league intrigue if Beebe does end up winning the psuedo-starting job. Fantasy owners will hope to see more from the wideout in the third, and most-important, preseason game against the Cardinals on Saturday.

Beebe has emerged as a front-runner for the No. 3 receiver job, ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Beebe has been impressive in camp when working with the first-team offense, and he's ahead in the battle that also includes Jordan Taylor, Jeff Badet, Brandon Zylstra and Laquon Treadwell. However, the No. 3 receiver role has not been targeted much in the offense, with Stefon Diggs and Adam Thielen getting an overwhelming majority of the looks. Plus, the Vikings may utilize a third receiver even less if they use more two-TE sets with rookie Irv Smith. Still, Beebe is a player to watch in the preseason, as he could force himself into a larger role.
