Dunlap had already intimated on social media prior to last Sunday's game against the Browns that he wanted to be traded, and he further hurt his standing in the organization when he was involved in an argument on the sideline with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo in the waning seconds of the 37-34 loss. While the 1-5-1 Bengals are surely eager to move Dunlap, the 31-year-old defensive end's contract situation could make it difficult to find a trade partner. Dunlap is in the midst of a four-year, $54 million contract that expires after the 2021 season.

Dunlap got into an argument and pushing match with Bengals coaches and teammates toward the end of Sunday's loss to the Browns, Chris Roling of Bengalswire reports.

It's pretty clear that Dunlap is on his way out with the Bengals -- they'll hope to trade him, but the more likely result is that he'll get released. He played just 12 snaps against the Browns on Sunday and took another bad penalty but otherwise didn't dent the stat sheet.

Dunlap will be back on the field more frequently this week now that the Bengals have lost Sam Hubbard with an elbow injury, Ben Baby of ESPN.com reports.

Dunlap is a superb pass rusher, and he'll need to continue that to lift the Bengals' defense out of the gutter, especially since the secondary remains iffy with Trae Waynes (pectoral) out long-term and Mackensie Alexander (personal) possibly missing time.
