Marshall (hamstring) will not return to Sunday's game against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall was originally tabbed questionable to return before being downgraded to doubtful and eventually ruled out. LeShun Daniels is the only remaining running back for the Redskins behind starter Samaje Perine, who should continue to be the team's workhorse back.

Marshall injured his hamstring during Sunday's game against the Chargers and is doubtful to return.
EDGE Analysis
The second-year pro is used as a change of pace back behind Samaje Perine on the depth chart. In three games this season, Marshall doesn't have nine carries for 32 yards and six receptions for 36 yards and zero touchdowns.

Marshall ran the ball four times for 12 yards and hauled in five of six targets for 24 yards in Thursday's loss to the Cowboys.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall has seen an expanded role in Washington's offense each of his first three games with the team, as his 26 offensive snaps on Thursday marked a new season high. The Redskins got the 23-year-old more involved in the passing game, but Marshall's 4.8 yards per reception left him irrelevant in most fantasy circles.

Marshall ran the ball four times for 18 yards and added one reception for 12 yards in Thursday's win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall saw an increased offensive role in his second game with the Redskins but remains a distant second option in the backfield behind rookie Samaje Perine. Perine has exceeded 100 yards rushing the past two weeks, proving he can be a workhorse type back for Washington with Rob Kelley (ankle) and Chris Thompson (lower leg) out for the season. As long as Perine continues to run effectively, do not expect Marshall to see very many opportunities outside of third down responsibilities.

Marshall is expected to serve as the Redskins' third-down back in Thursday's game against the Giants with Chris Thompson (lower leg) suffering a season-ending injury in the Week 11 loss to the Saints, John Keim of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though Marshall has just four games of NFL experience to his name, he seems well suited for passing-down work due to his background as a receiver during his college days at Oregon. Similarly to Thompson, Marshall compensates for a small frame (5-foot-9, 201 pounds) with his capable hands, speed and shiftiness, attributes that should allow him to earn frequent snaps behind lead back Samaje Perine if he can prove to be a capable pass blocker. Like many young backs, Marshall may face more of a learning curve when it comes to pass protection, and any missed blocks could result in him heading into head coach Jay Gruden's doghouse. Until Marshall proves he can stay on the field and become a trusted check-down option for quarterback Kirk Cousins, it will be difficult to count on him to produce much fantasy value down the stretch.

Marshall received on carry for two yards in Sunday's overtime loss to the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall has quickly climbed up the Redskins' depth chart after signing with the team last week. He will enter Thursday's Thanksgiving game against the Cowboys as the No. 2 back after the Redskins loss Rob Kelley (ankle) and Chris Thompson (fibula) the past two weeks. Rookie Samaje Perine (finger) is expected to bear the brunt of the workload from here on out but Marshall will still find himself with an expanded offensive role for the remainder of the season.

Marshall signed with the Redskins on Tuesday, Master Tesfatsion of The Washington Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
After starting tailback Rob Kelley went down with an ankle sprain and MCL sprain in Sunday's loss to the Vikings, the Redskins were left with just two healthy running backs on their active roster. Marshall will shore up the depth at the position moving forward, but Samaje Perine and Chris Thompson are expected to take on majority of the workload in the backfield.

The Eagles signed Marshall to their practice squad Monday, Bob Grotz of The Delaware County Daily Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall failed the make the 53-man roster as the Eagles opted instead to keep rookies Donnel Pumphrey and Corey Clement as the depth backs. The second-year back will now spend the season on practice squad, but could be activated if injuries arise.

Marshall was released by the Eagles on Saturday, Eliot Shorr-Parks of The Star-Ledger reports.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall received some carries late last season as the Eagles' running backs were depleted by injury, and carried 31 times for 111 yards and a touchdown this preseason. Rookies Donnel Pumphrey and Corey Clement impressed enough to crack the 53-man roster, but are unlikely to see many carries, barring injury.

Marshall carried 10 times for 42 yards in Sunday's 27-13 win over the Cowboys. He also caught one of two targets for four additional yards.
EDGE Analysis
Marshall led the team in carries and yards with Ryan Mathews (back) out of commission, averaging a respectable 4.2 yards per carry against what has been a stout Cowboys run defense. After contributing in just two games this season, it remains to be seen what Marshall's role will be with the team will be next year, with Ryan Mathews expected to head the rushing attack.
