Golden was removed from Tuesday's practice with an apparent hamstring issue, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
An undrafted free agent of the Bears in 2012, Golden has been a part of three organizations in his career but only seen the field with the Cardinals. In particular, he was active in 14 games in 2015, yet received one target, which he gathered in for five yards. On the first unofficial depth chart released Monday, Golden was outside the top 6 wide receivers, indicating that his spot could be in jeopardy if he misses significant time with an injury.

Golden recorded one catch for five yards during the 2015 season.
EDGE Analysis
After he was inactive in Weeks 1 and 2, Golden was on the active roster for the rest of the campaign. While he was afforded only two percent of the offensive snaps, he picked up 57 percent of the special-teams snaps, accruing seven solo tackles along the way. With the Top 4 wide receiver spots secured by Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, John Brown, and J.J. Nelson, Golden likely won't experience a larger offensive workload in the fall unless the Cardinals don't retain restricted free agent Jaron Brown.

Golden was added to the Cardinals' 53-man roster Tuesday, the team's official site reports. After placing defensive tackle Ed Stinson (toe) on injured reserve, the Cardinals filled the void by promoting Golden from their practice squad. Golden, who failed to land one of the final roster spots out of training camp, nonetheless remained with the team throughout the season and now has an opportunity to contribute in an NFL tilt for the first time since last December. Even though his last catch went for 63 yards in a Week 16 upset at Seattle last year, the second-year wideout will have difficulty repeating history with the ineffective Ryan Lindley under center this time around.

Golden was signed to the Cardinals' practice squad Sunday, Mike Jurecki of FOX Sports 910 Phoenix reports. Released by the Cardinals in their final round of cuts Saturday, Golden will stick around as depth for a squad that boasts five wideouts heading into Week 1. In four preseason contests, he gathered in 18 balls (on 28 targets) for 129 yards and no scores. If he's activated at some point this year, his contributions will likely be contained to special teams, after recording two solo tackles during the exhibition season.

Golden nabbed a team-high four receptions (on seven targets) for 34 yards in Saturday's preseason loss at Minnesota. General manager Steve Keim intimated Monday that the Cardinals will likely emerge from training camp with six wideouts, the team's official site reports. Although Walter Powell was drafted in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL Draft, Golden is giving Powell a run for his money, totaling 11 catches for 79 yards through two exhibitions (versus Powell's five receptions for 92 yards). Two games remain until Keim and coach Bruce Arians must make the final call.

Brittan Golden caught one pass for 63 yards in Sunday's Week 16 win at Seattle. Golden's fourth catch of the season was a big one as he tore up the seam uncovered. The former practice squadder has settled in as the No. 4 wideout in Arizona.

Cardinals WR Brittan Golden (hamstring) is considered "doubtful" to play on Thursday Night Football against Seattle. Just recently pulled off the practice squad, Golden was targeted three times against the 49ers on Sunday, securing one for 53 yards. The Cardinals will turn to Jaron Brown behind Larry Fitzgerald, Michael Floyd, and Andre Roberts.
