Celek (ribs) did not practice Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Celek is nursing fractured ribs, so his absence Wednesday comes as little surprise. If he isn't able to practice at all this week, it's unlikely he'll be allowed to play Sunday against the Falcons, likely spelling an increased role for No. 3 TE Trey Burton.

Celek is expected to miss practice time this week due to a rib fracture, but he should still be able to play Sunday against the Falcons, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Celek has caught just one pass for seven yards since Week 3, so rib injury doesn't necessarily have many fantasy implications, but his situation will continue to be monitored nonetheless.

Celek played on just 23 of the Eagles' 61 offensive snaps Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
With Zach Ertz back in the fold, Celek was used exclusively as a blocking specialist and wasn't even targeted in the passing game. Barring any sort of setback for Ertz, the veteran tight is not a fantasy option at this point in time.

Celek caught three of his four targets for 61 yards Sunday against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
It was Celek's turn to shine as the top receiving tight end in Zach Ertz's (ribs) absence after Trey Burton found the end zone last week. Burton still saw more targets (six), and both should continue to have an impact until Ertz is able to return. With an abundance of other viable offensive weapons at rookie quarterback Carson Wentz's disposal, it's tough to count on Celek for consistent production.

Celek should enjoy considerable playing time once again with teammate Zach Ertz (ribs) ruled out Sunday against the Steelers, The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Celek started in Ertz's absence Monday against the Bears, and although he failed to catch a pass, his snap count increased from 49 percent in Week 1 to 74 percent last time out. While Celek was overshadowed by fellow tight end Trey Burton's five catches for 49 yards and a touchdown versus Chicago, and his fantasy upside trails Burton as well, the veteran should at least be on the field for a significant portion of Sunday's game.

Celek will start Monday's game at Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
With a rib injury in tow, Zach Ertz will take a seat in Week 2, allowing Celek to take on a significant snap count. Catching his sole pass from rookie quarterback Carson Wentz for 11 yards in the season-opening win against the Browns, Celek could prosper against a Bears defense that has given up four touchdowns to TEs in its last five games dating back to last season.

Celek logged one reception for 11 yards in the Eagles' 29-10 victory over the Browns on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Celek entered the 2016 campaign taking a clear backseat to ascending fourth-year TE Zach Ertz. However, Ertz suffered a rib injury during the contest and appears set to miss time in the short-term. Consequently, Celek likely becomes both the Eagles' top blocking and receiving tight end for the foreseeable future.

Celek caught one pass for 17 yards on three targets in Thursday's preseason game against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Signed to a three-year, $13 million contract in the offseason, Celek is one of the league's more valuable No. 2 tight ends, but it's now clear he's a distant second to Zach Ertz. Celek's role should be very similar to the one he filled last season, when he caught 27 passes for 398 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games.

Celek agreed to a three-year, $13 million contract to stay with the Eagles, ESPN's Adam Caplan reports.
EDGE Analysis
The deal reportedly includes $6 million guaranteed, which shows just how much the Eagles value the 31-year-old Celek, even though Zach Ertz has emerged as the team's primary tight end. Celek's days as a useful fantasy contributor may be numbered, but he's still an important part of the Philadelphia running game, with solid hands to boot.

Celek caught two passes for 38 yards in Sunday's season-ending win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Celek finished with 58 more yards and two more touchdowns than last season, and he will likely be a fair bench tight end option for the rest of his career. But Zach Ertz established himself as the Eagles' top tight end this season, taking 16 percent more snaps than Celek, and Celek's days as a starting tight end are more than likely officially over.
