The knee injury Jarwin suffered Sunday against the Rams is believed to be a torn ACL, which would knock the tight end out for the season, Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jarwin went down without any contact in the second quarter, and it appears the worst-case scenario is coming to fruition with this injury. Blake Bell and Dalton Schultz will take over at tight end with Jarwin out, and it's possible Dallas will turn to outside help at the position.

Jarwin (knee) has been ruled out for the remainder of Sunday's game against the Rams, Eric Williams of Sports Illustrated reports.
EDGE Analysis
No surprise here, as Jarwin's non-contact knee injury looked to be significant. Expect clarifying information on the severity of the tight end's injury to emerge once the team has an opportunity to run further tests.

Jarwin suffered a knee injury in the first half of Sunday's game against the Rams and is questionable to return, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jarwin crumpled to the field with a non-contact injury, so he's probably on the wrong side of questionable for the remainder of this one. If the tight end is indeed done for the night, his next chance to suit up would come against the Falcons in Week 2, though Jarwin's injury looked like the kind that could force a multi-week absence.

Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones said Thursday during an interview on 105.3 The Fan that Jarwin "has had an amazing camp".
EDGE Analysis
"It was hard to be a tight end in this organization when 82 [Jason Witten] was around," Jones continued. "Certainly, [Jarwin]'s getting to spread his wings now, whether it's Coach McCarthy, the offensive staff, his teammates, he keeps showing up out there." Jones also described the tight end's chemistry with quarterback Dak Prescott as "outstanding". Witten saw 83 targets last season as the starter, which would seem to be about Jarwin's ceiling in the offense as the team also tries to work first-round pick CeeDee Lamb into the mix, but the 26-year-old tight end should be a lot more effective on a per-target basis than the aging future Hall of Famer was.

Jarwin is signing a three-year extension worth up to $24.5 million, including $9.25 million guaranteed, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
This comes just two weeks after the Cowboys placed a second-round restricted free-agent tender on Jarwin, who likely will replace Jason Witten as the team's top pass-catching threat at tight end. The 25-year-old did well with his limited opportunities the past two seasons, producing 8.7 yards per target and finding the end zone on six of his 58 catches. Multiple reports suggest Witten isn't expected to re-sign with the Cowboys.

Jarwin is getting a second-round restricted free agent tender, Clarence E. Hill Jr. of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jason Witten, on the other hand, is expected to leave the Cowboys. Witten was a 16-game starter in 2019, when he tied for third on the team with 83 targets, but he produced just 8.4 yards per catch and 6.4 per target, while Jarwin averaged 11.8 YPC and 8.9 YPT (from a 31-365-3 receiving line). With wide receivers Amari Cooper and Randall Cobb also at the end of their respective contracts, the Cowboys are facing a lot of uncertainty with their pass catchers. Jarwin could enter 2020 as the third or fourth option in the passing game, though it's also possible he faces competition for the top job at tight end.

Jarwin wrapped up 2019 with 31 catches on 41 targets for 365 yards and three touchdowns.
EDGE Analysis
Jason Witten's return to Dallas kept Jarwin from building on the upside he showed in 2018, but the latter still posted career highs in catches and yards. Jarwin also kept his burgeoning reputation as a Giants killer intact -- five of his six career touchdowns have come against the Cowboys' NFC East rivals, including scores in Week 1 and Week 9 this season. If Witten elects to re-retire, Jarwin could be headed for a 2020 breakout. Even if Jarwin remains in the No. 2 role behind the future Hall of Famer, his role in the passing game figures to grow given his big-play ability.

Jarwin caught his only target for 14 yards during Sunday's loss to Philadelphia.
EDGE Analysis
Jarwin played only 19 offensive snaps -- his second-lowest total of the season -- as the Cowboys struggled to score all game. The 25-year-old enters the final week of the regular season with 31 catches for 365 yards and three touchdowns.

Jarwin caught two of three targets for 40 yards in Sunday's win over the Rams.
EDGE Analysis
As has become common this season, Jason Witten saw more targets and catches than Jarwin, who gained more yards despite a lower volume, but the former was able to find the end zone Sunday. Jarwin's athleticism and big-play ability could make him a breakout star in 2020 if Witten retires again, but for now he'll have to be content with a secondary role in the Cowboys offense.

Jarwin hauled in six of seven targets for 50 yards in the Cowboys' 31-24 loss to the Bears on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Jarwin enjoyed a career-best night in what was the Cowboys' third straight loss, with his seven targets also serving as a season high. The third-year tight end now has a career-high 28 receptions for the campaign as well, and he's notched multiple grabs in five straight games, easily the most productive stretch of his three-season NFL tenure. Jarwin will look to stay hot versus the Rams in a Week 15 matchup, a week from Sunday.
