Raji plans to retire from football, the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raji's intention to retire comes as he hit the free agent market following his seventh season in Green Bay. Drafted ninth overall in 2009, Raji was instrumental on the Packers' Super Bowl-winning team in 2010, registering a career-best 39 tackles and 6.5 sacks. Since then, Raji's performance level steeply declined, evidenced by just 3.5 total sacks, and he also missed the entire 2014 campaign due to a preseason biceps tear. At 29 years old, it appears Raji is ready to call time on his NFL career, taking his name out of consideration from potential suitors.

Raji (groin) is active for Sunday's game against the Chargers, the Packers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
In the aftermath of last Sunday's game, an MRI revealed no damage to Raji's groin, which ended his day early. With the bye week imminent (Week 7), the Packers will keep him in street clothes, as Letroy Guion gets the start at nose tackle.

Raji (groin) is doubtful for Sunday's game against the Chargers.
EDGE Analysis
An MRI reportedly did not reveal any damage to his groin, yet Raji still figures to miss at least one game. Mike Pennel will likely fill in at nose tackle against a San Diego team that hasn't had much luck with its running game behind an injury-decimated offensive line.

An MRI on Raji's groin Monday revealed no damage, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Raji was removed from Sunday's win against the Rams due to a groin injury, and while it may not be severe, he was still unable to finish that contest. As the week progresses, his ability to practice will forecast if he'll be able to play Sunday against the Chargers.

Raji exited Sunday's game with a groin injury, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
The extent of Raji's injury is uncertain, but he was able to remain on the sideline after leaving the game. Even if Raji's injury is minor, the Packers may opt to hold him out of the next game against the Chargers with the team on bye in Week 7.

Raji (biceps) said Thursday that he is back to full strength, Tyler Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. Raji suffered a torn biceps in August, and it came with a recovery timetable of six-to-nine months. There was never much question he'd be ready for Week 1 in 2015, but his effectiveness is far from assured. Even if he gets back to the best version of himself, Raji has never topped 39 tackles or 6.5 sacks in a season, with both of those marks recorded in 2010. In a best-case scenario, he shores up the Green Bay defensive line but still isn't an IDP option.

Raji (biceps) is expected to sign a one-year contract to remain with the Packers, NFL.com reports. Raji missed all of last season after suffering a biceps injury during the preseason, but the long-time Packer will apparently remain in Green Bay for at least one more year. While Raji's contract is expected to be a one-year "prove-it" deal, the Packers also agreed to bring back fellow defensive tackle Letroy Guion on Monday. With Guion coming off career-highs in tackles and sacks, Raji probably begin the season as a reserve lineman, but with Guion also facing possible discipline from an offseason arrest, Raji's presence adds nice experience and depth to Green Bay's defensive front.

Raji underwent surgery on his biceps, which will be followed by a 6-to-9 month recovery process, Paul Imig of FOX Sports Wisconsin reports. Because the tendon required reattachment, Raji's injury was season-ending. Even if he takes the full nine months to rehabilitate, his status for training camp next summer shouldn't be a concern. However, with free agency on tap this coming offseason, it's anyone's guess as to where he'll reside in 2015.

Raji (biceps) was officially diagnosed with a torn biceps and will miss the entirety of the 2014 season, Ian Rapoport of NFL.com reports. The Packers' worst fears were confirmed Saturday afternoon after tests revealed Raji suffered a fully torn biceps during Friday's preseason contest against the Raiders. He'll likely undergo surgery in the near future and begin a lengthy recovery process with the goal of returning in 2015. Green Bay could look to bring in a veteran to fill Raji's massive - both literally and figuratively - void on the defensive line.

Raji will have tests Saturday to determine if his injured right biceps is fully or partially torn, NFL.com reports. Raji suffered the injury in Friday's exhibition game. He might be done for the season if the biceps is fully torn. Mike Pennel is the backup nose tackle, though defensive end Josh Boyd replaced Raji on Friday.
