Fowler (elbow) has been ruled out for Thursday's regular-season opener against Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler still hasn't practiced since fracturing his elbow Aug. 11, and he never had a real shot to play in Thursday's game. His absence would seem to leave Cody Latimer as the clear No. 3 wide receiver, though the Broncos have never displayed any real confidence in their 2014 second-round selection.

Fowler (elbow) did not practice Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler still hasn't practiced since suffering a fractured elbow Aug. 11. He can all but be ruled out for Thursday's regular-season opener against Carolina, leaving Cody Latimer unopposed as the No. 3 wide receiver. Fowler may have a shot to return for Week 2.

Fowler (elbow) did not practice Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler, who is bouncing back from an elbow fracture that he suffered on Aug. 11, is sporting a brace on his right arm these days, with the wideout's status for Thursday's regular season opener against the Panthers thus cloudy.

Fowler, who didn't practice Saturday, is dealing with a fracture in his right elbow and will miss a few weeks according to coach Gary Kubiak, Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler's Week 1 status is now in jeopardy given the timetable to return from his fractured elbow. Cody Latimer figures to slot in as the No. 3 option at receiver with Fowler sidelined, while Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders continue to lead the way.

Fowler did not practice on Saturday and was seen with a brace on his right elbow, Troy Renck of TheDenverChannel.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The timetable for the injury is still unknown, but the presence of the brace isn't a reassuring sign for the Broncos. Fowler caught three passes for 18 yards in Thursday's preseason win over the Bears. With him out, look for Cody Latimer to see increased reps in practice.

Fowler snagged three of seven targets for 18 yards in Thursday's preseason win over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
If not for an end-zone swipe by a Chicago defensive back, Fowler's stat line could have looked a lot different. Still, Fowler saw more passes than anyone outside of Cody Latimer and while Latimer finally showed some flashes of why the team invested a second-round pick in him in 2014, Fowler has the heavy edge in real-game production and experience.

Fowler signed his exclusive rights tender Friday, ensuring he'll remain with the Broncos this season, The Denver Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Fowler has worked out with Broncos quarterback Mark Sanchez this offseason, so it was always likely he'd return to Denver this year. With his tender now signed, Fowler will look to build on his totals of 16 receptions (on 24 targets) for 203 yards as a rookie last term.

Fowler caught the first passes of his NFL career Sunday against Detroit, reeling in all four of his targets for 50 yards.
EDGE Analysis
An undrafted second-year man out of Michigan State, Fowler spent last season on Denver's practice squad, but made the team out of camp this year. He went unused in the first two weeks, but finished behind only Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders in Week 3 wideout targets. With Cody Latimer, Jordan Norwood and Andre Caldwell not much more than depth options, it could be that Fowler's working his way toward securing the No. 3 spot in the Denver wideout mix.
