Browns TEs Ben Watson (leg) and Jordan Cameron (groin) are both listed as questionable for Week 1 against the Eagles.
Both may be game-time decisions, although Watson seems likelier to play. It's still a situation to avoid in fantasy football leagues. Brandon Weeden showed poorly in August, and Watson may be needed to help rookie RT Mitchell Schwartz block. Schwartz did not look NFL-ready in preseason pass protection.

Browns TE Ben Watson (leg) was limited in Thursday's practice.
Watson is expected to play this week, but it's a good bet that his snaps will be limited after missing most of August. He's not a fantasy option in Week 1.

Ben Watson (leg) said Monday that he will be ready to play in Week 1.
Watson missed the majority of camp with a leg muscle issue. He'll likely start against the Eagles, but he's just keeping the seat warm for second-year man Jordan Cameron. Owners can find better TE2 spots.

Ben Watson has resumed practicing at Browns training camp.
Watson missed a big chunk of camp with an unspecified injury, while Jordan Cameron shined. There is speculation in Cleveland that Watson is on the roster bubble. The 31-year-old tight end is owed a rather lofty $2.88 million salary.

The Canton Repository feels that TE Ben Watson and WR Josh Cribbs are both on the roster bubble.
After missing the end of the 2011 season due to concussions, Watson missed the team's first preseason game and hasn't practiced this week. Jordan Cameron and Evan Moore are on his heels. Cribbs figures to stick, but is now 30 and won't be needed as much on offense. Juqua Parker, Seneca Wallace, Alex Smith, and Ross Ventrone are also considered to be on the bubble.

According to ProFootballWeekly.com, Ben Watson is expected to have "an important role" in the Browns offense.
Officially, that's the way ProFootballWeekly.com "(hears) it." Watson seemed closer to his release than a return to relevance for most of the offseason, but the Cleveland Plain Dealer recently reported he's unlikely to be granted his walking papers. Regardless of how large his role is, Watson won't be more than a TE2 for fantasy purposes.

The Cleveland Plain-Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot does not anticipate the Browns cutting TE Ben Watson.
With Jordan Cameron and Evan Moore waiting in the wings, it wouldn't be crazy for the team to cut ties with 31-year-old Watson, who is due $2.88 million in a contract year. It appears he will stick around as the team's starter for, at least, one more season.

Browns TE Ben Watson finished second to only Greg Little in targets during minicamps and OTAs.
WR Mohamed Massaquoi was a close third. Entering a contract season at age 32, it's fair to wonder if the team will get potential replacements Evan Moore and Jordan Cameron more involved. Clearly, Watson figures to remain heavily involved. He sits 31st in our initial tight end rankings.
