Tight end is always a difficult position to draft. The elite players go early but you have to be willing to sacrifice other positions to lock them down. Beyond the top tier, the position becomes highly inconsistent week-to-week which makes it particularly difficult to draft them. You must balance the upside of pure red zone threats versus tight ends who are more regularly involved in the passing offense but do not get into the end zone much. Free-agent tight end Benjamin Watson agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints on Wednesday, according to a source. Watson returns to the team where he spent three years from 2013 to 2015, including catching a career-high 74 passes for 825 yards and six touchdowns in his final season there. He'll reunite with quarterback Drew Brees, although the Saints are now more of a run-first team, and Watson is a little longer in the tooth. [...]
