Week 2 Rankings Analysis - Nick Mariano vs. ECR rotoballer.com Fri 9/14/18 12:05 PM

Welcome, one and all, to the weekly piece that puts my rankings under the microscope and gives me a chance to explain myself against the Expert Consensus Rankings (ECR) found on FantasyPros. I did decently in Week 1, scoring 29th out of ~130 experts, but if I'm going to beat my 9th place finish from '17 then I've got work to do! I'll be examining my own ranks against the ECR on a position-by-position basis, as the overall and flex tabs can simply get insane with every position folded in with [...]

Fantasy Football Pop Quiz - Week 2 Lineup Questions rotoballer.com Fri 9/14/18 9:04 AM

I tend to abide by a pretty simple rule when it comes to drafting players; unless something is unexpectedly wrong with them, I don't make a lot of shifts between Weeks 1 and 2 (or through Week 3, for that matter.) If you drafted Mike [...]

Benjamin Watson Not A Top-12 TE Option For Week 2 rotoballer.com Tue 9/11/18 6:21 PM

New Orleans Saints tight end Benjamin Watson caught four passes for 44 yards in Week 1 against the Buccaneers. The veteran is the top tight end option for a potent Saints offense but is low on the pecking order of options for quarterback Drew Brees. Watson and Co. will face a Browns defense that is improved this season and allowed 60 total yards to Pittsburgh's tight ends in Week 1. Watson could become a factor in the red zone but his value will be best deployed in PPR-leagues for Week 2.

Week 2 Tight End Waiver Wire Pickups and Adds rotoballer.com Tue 9/11/18 9:00 AM

Week 1 was not a memorable opening week for NFL tight ends. While New England's Rob Gronkowski got off to a great start (123 yards and a TD), other top tight ends were not as fortunate. Greg Olsen, Delanie Walker and David Njoku suffered injuries, Zach Ertz dropped passes like he was Amari Cooper, while Evan Engram and Jimmy Graham combined for four catches for 26 yards. So if you are in the market for a new tight end for your fantasy team, here is a look at a handful that could helpful e[...]

Benjamin Watson Has Tough Matchup Week 1 rotoballer.com Mon 9/3/18 9:31 PM

New Orleans Saints tight end Benjamin Watson will enter the season with substantial sleeper value playing in the Saints high-powered offense. But Watson could struggle out of the gate against a Buccaneers defense that stifled opposing tight ends in 2017. Tampa Bay allowed the second fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends last season. [...]
