Free agent OG Anthony Herrera will reportedly visit the Bears on Wednesday. Offensive coordinator Mike Tice must be driving Chicago's interest. Tice developed Herrera as an undrafted player out of Tennessee during their time together with the Vikings.

Vikings released RG Anthony Herrera. Three months shy of his 32nd birthday, Herrera was due $2.75 million between salary and bonuses next season. It's a reasonable rate for a solid interior lineman, but Herrera graded out as the league's ninth worst right guard in Pro Football Focus' rankings last season. Signed as an undrafted free agent in 2004, Herrera had started 64 games since 2007.

Vikings RG Anthony Herrera is a candidate to be released this offseason. Herrera continues to be plagued by injuries, missing four games and getting dominated up front in several more. Turning 32 in June, Herrera is due $2.75 million in salary and bonuses. The Vikes could turn to Brandon Fusco or move Charlie Johnson from tackle.

Vikings RG Anthony Herrera (knee) won't play in Monday's game against the Packers. Joe Berger will get the start once again. The Vikings didn't miss Herrera in Week 8, racking up 361 yards of offense in a win over the Panthers.

Vikings RG Anthony Herrera will miss up to two weeks with a torn PCL in his left knee. It's an injury that shouldn't require surgery, but may cause temporary chemistry issues along Minnesota's offensive line. Herrera has been playing poorly, however, grading out as Pro Football Focus' 51st-ranked guard as he entered Week 7. The Vikings may turn to rookie Brandon Fusco in the meantime.

Vikings RG Anthony Herrera left Sunday's game in the second quarter with a right knee injury. It's not the same knee that Herrera had surgically repaired late last year. It looked like his knee was hyperextended on contact, though he was able to walk off under his own power. Backup Brandon Fusco has come on his replacement.

Anthony Herrera will start at right guard in Saturday's third preseason game. Herrera is coming off surgeries to both his ACL and his triceps, but the Vikings are desperate. Chris DeGeare and Ryan Cook have done nothing to establish themselves as starters. This Vikings' offensive line remains a major area of concern.

Vikings activated RG Anthony Herrera (ACL, triceps surgeries) from active/PUP. He's reportedly ahead of schedule in his rehab, and Herrera will now be able to avoid spending the first six games on PUP. It would seem the Vikings finally got some good news for their offensive line, although Herrera isn't a very good offensive lineman. He may lose his starting job to Chris DeGeare.

Vikings RG Anthony Herrera (ACL surgery) is unlikely to be cleared for Week 1 if he doesn't make a preseason appearance. That would mean either Chris DeGeare or Ryan Cook would break camp as the Vikings' starting right guard. Still just nine months removed from tearing his ACL, Herrera is far from a guarantee to be ready for Week 1.
