Hal should get a lot of playing time this week as the third cornerback due to injuries in the secondary, CSN Houston reports. The rookie is the next man up after the Texans ruled A.J. Bouye (groin) and Darryl Morris (ankle) out for Sunday's game in Dallas.

Hal returned an interception 64 yards for a touchdown during Saturday's preseason win over Atlanta. Hal, a seventh-round pick in 2014, was on the field with the third-team defense late in the game.

Texans signed No. 216 overall pick CB Dre Hal to a four-year, $2.28 million contract. Standing in at 5-foot-10, 188 pounds, Hall was a second-team All SECer each of his junior and senior seasons. He's a slot prospect who could also be an option on returns.
