Baccellia will get a chance to climb a wide receiver depth chart that lacks certainty behind Julian Edelman. After being let go by the Chiefs earlier this month, Baccellia has a better chance of latching on with New England's practice squad than making the 53-man roster, if he sticks at all.

The Chiefs waived Baccellia on Wednesday, Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Baccellia earned a contract with the Chiefs after he went undrafted in the 2020 draft. The Wasington product compiled a modest 29 catches for 314 yards and four touchdowns as a senior at Washington, and he'll likely have to compete for a depth or practice squad role elsewhere.
