Blue rushed five times for 33 yards and a touchdown, and caught his lone target for seven yards in Wednesday's preseason game against the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
Blue entered the action after starter Lamar Miller's short night and made the most of his handful of carries. Obviously, Blue's most important contribution was his 16-yard touchdown to end the first quarter, but considering rookie D'Onta Foreman finished the night with nine rushes for 76 yards, Blue's trip to pay dirt should allow him to withstand pressure from Foreman for his No. 2 job for the time being.

The Texans expect rookie third-round selection D'Onta Foreman to challenge Blue for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, ESPN.com's Sarah Barshop reports.
EDGE Analysis
Blue served as Lamar Miller's top backup last season, taking 100 carries for 420 yards and a touchdown but adding only 12 catches for 40 yards on 16 targets. It was only a matter of time before the Texans sought an upgrade, as Blue doesn't offer much in the passing game and isn't particularly explosive (career 3.6 YPC). Foreman only caught seven passes last season at The University of Texas, but he rushed for over 2,000 yards at a clip of 6.3 per carry, and then ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at 233 pounds at the Combine. Blue could fall all the way off the roster if he doesn't beat out Foreman for the No. 2 job, as the Texans presumably want to keep at least one running back besides Miller that can stay on the field for passing downs. Akeem Hunt, 2016 fourth-rounder Tyler Ervin and undrafted rookie Dare Ogunbowale are in the mix to earn roster spots.

Blue had one carry for two yards in Houston's 34-16 loss to New England in Saturday's division-round playoff game.
EDGE Analysis
Blue played just four offensive snaps against the Patriots and just nine in Houston's two playoff games. He was effective in spurts for the Texans, rushing 100 times for 420 yards and one touchdown this season, but he's clearly a backup and will not be a premier back in 2017. We saw that he wasn't an effective lead back in 2015, so it's unlikely the Texans would go that way should Lamar Miller not be in a position to top the depth chart.

Blue had 28 yards on 11 carries, and caught three of four targets for 12 yards Sunday in Tennessee.
EDGE Analysis
Blue got the start with Lamar Miller (ankle) out, but split carries with Jonathan Grimes. He finishes the regular season with 420 yards and one touchdown on 100 carries. Miller is expected back for next week's playoff game, so Blue will likely return to a reserve role for that one.

Blue is expected to start at running back in Sunday's matchup with the Titans.
EDGE Analysis
The playoff-bound Texans have already ruled out Lamar Miller (ankle) for Week 17, so Blue will have a great chance at building on his season-best performance last Sunday against the Bengals, during which he accrued 73 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries. Blue isn't a dynamic runner by any means, but given that he seems to have a fairly safe path to steady volume in the regular-season finale -- which most starting running backs around the NFL can't say -- he'll make for a worthy lineup option in leagues that are still in the midst of the fantasy playoffs.

Blue filled in for the injured Lamar Miller (ankle) and had 73 yards rushing on 21 carries, including a 24-yard touchdown run, in Houston's 12-10 win over Cincinnati on Saturday. He added four catches for 17 yards.
EDGE Analysis
Houston's game plan was designed to rely on the ground attack behind Blue, who had season highs in yards and carries, but he was stymied in the first half as the Bengals weren't particularly worried about quarterback Tom Savage beating them. When Houston switched to a no-huddle offense to the start the second half, Savage was more effective, the offense got on a bit of a roll, and Blue was able to exceed his fantasy projections. With the win, Houston clinched the AFC South and can afford to let Miller heal up for another week, so Blue could be the main back in Week 17 against the Titans.

Blue will start at running back Saturday against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Blue tallied just one carry in Week 15, but he will play a far more prominent role in Week 16 with Lamar Miller (ankle) unable to go. Blue will square off against a Cincinnati defense that allowed opposing running backs to find paydirt just twice over the last six games.

Blue had one carry for one yard and caught one pass for another four yards in Houston's 21-20 win over the Jaguars in Week 15.
EDGE Analysis
Blue had averaged nearly 10 carries per game in the five previous games, but the Texans got away from the ground attack as they played catchup all day. He could return to a significant role in Week 16 should starter Lamar Miller, who tweaked his ankle late in the fourth quarter, become limited on a short week this coming Saturday against Cincinnati.

Blue tallied 55 yards on 16 carries in Sunday's victory over the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
The 16 carries were a season high for Blue, as the Texans relied heavily on their ground game playing with a lead for most of the game. Lamar Miller remains the team's primary option out of the backfield, so Blue's upside will continue to be limited going forward. He and the Texans will matchup against the Vikings in Week 15.

Blue rushed for 38 yards on five carries and caught two passes for three yards in Houston's 21-13 loss to Green Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Blue, who had missed the previous two games due to a calf injury, and Jonathan Grimes (five carries, one reception) each got opportunities in this game, but Grimes (25 snaps) had more playing time than Blue (nine snaps). Starter Lamar Miller (31 snaps) was limited to 22 yards (1.57 ypa) by the Packers and the snowy/slippery conditions. Miller has seen his touches per game diminish as we get deeper into the season, which isn't surprising given his history in Miami. He's been dealing with nagging injuries the last few weeks, which has opened up touches for both of Houston's top backups, but at this point, neither Blue nor Grimes is a legitimate threat.
