Bears Put Adam Shaheen On Injured Reserve rotoballer.com Sat 11/30/19 2:04 PM

The Chicago Bears placed tight end Adam Shaheen (foot) on Injured Reserve on Saturday, ending his season. Shaheen failed to capitalize this year with Trey Burton injured and ineffective for most of the year. The 25-year-old had just nine receptions for 74 yards and no touchdowns in eight games after securing just five catches for 48 yards and one touchdown in six games in 2018. Even at the thinnest fantasy position, Shaheen won't be on the fantasy radar entering drafts next year. With both ...

Taylor Gabriel, Adam Shaheen, Ben Braunecker Ruled Out rotoballer.com Wed 11/27/19 3:39 PM

Chicago Bears wide receiver Taylor Gabriel (concussion) and tight ends Adam Shaheen (foot) and Ben Braunecker (concussion) missed practice all week and have been ruled out for Thursday against the Lions. With Gabriel sidelined, Allen Robinson, Anthony Miller and Javon Wims should see most of the work in three-receiver sets. Although the matchup is a great one, Robinson is really the only wideout you can trust in starting fantasy lineups. Miller could be a sneaky DFS play if you're feeling ...

Trey Burton, Adam Shaheen Ruled Out rotoballer.com Fri 11/15/19 3:05 PM

Chicago Bears tight ends Trey Burton (calf) and Adam Shaheen (foot) both missed practice on Friday and have been ruled out for Week 11 on Sunday night against the Rams. Burton really has done nothing of note in the passing game this year, so it's not a huge blow for the Bears offense. It means that Ben Braunecker will be the primary pass-catching tight end on Sunday night against the Rams, but he shouldn't be looked to as a fantasy streamer at the thinnest of positions.

Trey Burton's Stock Continues To Plummet rotoballer.com Sun 10/6/19 5:39 PM

Chicago Bears tight end Trey Burton caught only three passes for 16 yards in the Bears Week 5 loss to the Raiders in London. Even if backup quarterback Chase Daniel was not under center, Burton simply looks lost in the shuffle on offense. The scheme no longer has Burton as a focal point and the veteran has lost targets to backup tight ends J.P. Holtz and Adam Shaheen. Burton will head into the team's bye week with only 11 catches on the season for 57 yards through four games played.

Adam Shaheen Catches One Pass Against Washington rotoballer.com Tue 9/24/19 2:52 AM

Chicago Bears tight end Adam Shaheen caught one pass for seven yards in the Bears win over the Redskins in Week 3. Shaheen was featured early as the Bears flashed a lot of heavy formations on offense. But the athletic tight end seemed to disappear after making his only reception of the game. The former second-round pick has a reputation of struggling to recover after incurring in-game contact and this game was no exception. Shaheen has little fantasy value but has the potential to catch a few ...

Adam Shaheen Surprises With Three Receptions rotoballer.com Sun 9/15/19 8:56 PM

Chicago Bears tight end Adam Shaheen caught three passes for 24 yards in the Bears comeback win over the Broncos in Week 2. The former second-round pick has the talent but has been a mercurial asset for the Bears in his career. But he made some nice receptions in this game, including one moment when he caught a pass, broke a tackle and picked up a big first down. Shaheen has struggled with injuries throughout his career so he will have to string a few more games together before he can even be ...

Adam Shaheen Slow To Progress rotoballer.com Mon 8/19/19 10:11 PM

Chicago Bears tight end Adam Shaheen is still working his way up to full speed with three weeks until the regular season begins. The third-year tight end suffered a back injury early on in camp and has been slow to get back into the swing of things. Shaheen has excellent 50/50-ball talent and is a red zone threat but has struggled mightily staying healthy during his short career. The chances of Shaheen making an impact early on in the regular season are getting slimmer by the day.

Adam Shaheen Not Likely To Play Friday rotoballer.com Fri 8/16/19 6:00 PM

Chicago Bears tight end Adam Shaheen is not expected to play in the team's second exhibition game against the Giants on Friday. Shaheen has been dealing with a back injury since the beginning of camp and has been slow to work his way back. Even if he is currently healthy, the Bears will not risk further injury to a player that has failed, thus far, to tap into his potential. The former second-round pick has struggled to stay on the field through the first two years of his career. Shaheen has ...

Tight End Best-Ball Tiered Rankings and Analysis (May 2019) rotoballer.com Wed 5/29/19 9:30 AM

It used to be that we ignored the tight end position until the middle rounds of a draft. Now, it's not uncommon to see a name like Kelce in the first round and not bat an eyelash, while Ertz and Kittle are guaranteed to be taken within the top 30 picks. In best-ball leagues, you must set out to "win" at every position on draft day. There is no Plan B. [...]

Recently, the RotoBaller staff put together ourup-to-date rankings for dynasty formats. Our tight end rankings on RotoBaller reflect how dynasty startup drafts have generally played out this offseason. Kelce is usually the first tight end off the board. Once he goes, you can expect Ertz and Kittle to follow shortly thereafter, usually within the next 10-15 picks. Pla[...]
