Gotsis underwent a knee scope on Thursday to remove "floating" material in his knee, NFL Network's James Palmer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gotsis' procedure sounds intense, but he simply had his knee cleaned out and will be ready for the first week of training camp. He's slated to provide depth at defensive end behind Derek Wolfe (neck) and Jared Crick.

Gotsis (knee) played well in the Bronco's preseason win over the Rams, finishing with two quarterback hurries, Andrew Mason of DenverBroncos.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gotsis appears fully recovered from the torn ACL he suffered in his final season at Georgia Tech. He seems to be in line for a role as rotational defensive lineman with Denver in his rookie season. He did miss an opportunity to deflect a pass against the Rams, but he made up for it by consistently badgering the quarterback, setting up a sack by forcing quarterback Sean Mannion into the path of linebacker Sadat Sulleyman.

Gotsis (knee) divulged he is not yet 100 percent ready to resume practicing, ABC's Troy Renck reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gotsis had torn his ACL in 2015 during his final season at Georgia Tech, but although he was Denver's 2016 second-round selection, he will still need to get on the practice field to earn an early-season role during his rookie campaign. When healthy, he will compete with Jared Crick, Vance Walker and Kenny Anunike (knee), among others, for a role in replacing the departed Malik Jackson along the Broncos' defensive line.

Broncos defensive line coach Bill Kollar pushed for Denver to draft Gotsis, the team's official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gotsis tallied 26 tackles for a loss in 32 games at Georgia Tech, his final season cut short by a torn ACL. The second-round pick told reporters that he has only played American football for about six or seven years, starting off with Australian-rules football. The Broncos believe that he has room to grow under Kollar's tutelage and he will be counted on help replace the departed Malik Jackson alongside Jared Crick, Vance Walker and Kenny Anunike.

The Broncos selected Gotsis in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft, 63rd overall.
EDGE Analysis
Even at the end of the second round, this pick stands out as a reach. Gotsis was a good enough player for Georgia Tech, but he doesn't have much pass-rushing potential, and the Yellow Jackets run defense was awful over the last few years.
