Rodgers (knee) said Tuesday that he's dealing with an MCL injury, but added that he intends to play in Sunday's game against Buffalo, Brian Costello of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers described the knee injury as a "little" MCL issue and said that he feels "pretty good." The veteran quarterback also stated that his goal is to play in all 17 games this season, so he could be incentivized to push through the knee injury, even though the 4-11 Jets have little at stake over the final two weeks. Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich suggested earlier Tuesday that Rodgers' availability to play against Buffalo was more uncertain, though Ulbrich noted that he was still expecting the 41-year-old to play.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Tuesday that Rodgers sustained a knee injury in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams, and the veteran quarterback's status for the Jets' Week 17 game in Buffalo is uncertain, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ulbrich added that he's betting on Rodgers playing this Sunday, but the Jets likely won't have a clearer idea about the 41-year-old's availability until assessing his condition in practices Wednesday through Friday. With the 4-11 Jets eliminated from playoff contention and Rodgers' standing in the organization uncertain heading into next season, it wouldn't be surprising if he ultimately ended up missing the team's final two contests. Tyrod Taylor has served as the backup quarterback all season and would be in line to start Sunday if Rodgers is unable to move past the knee issue.

Rodgers completed 28 of 42 passes for 256 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 19-9 loss to the Rams. He also rushed once for six yards and lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers connected with Davante Adams for an 11-yard touchdown in the first quarter, but the Jets added only three points the rest of the way, including a missed PAT after Adams' third touchdown catch in the past two games. The veteran quarterback still has multiple touchdown passes in five of his last eight starts despite failing to do so against the Rams, but his uptick in production hasn't led to much team success, as the Jets fell to 4-11 with Sunday's loss. New York's unlikely to get back in the win column in Week 17 against the Bills.

Rodgers completed 16 of 30 passes for 289 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 32-25 win over the Jaguars. He also rushed five times for 45 yards and threw a two-point conversion.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers posted his third-highest passing yardage total of the campaign while setting a new season high in rushing yards in this throwback performance. He answered an opening-drive Jaguars touchdown with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Garrett Wilson, but the veteran quarterback finished the first half with just three completions and 55 passing yards. Rodgers bounced back in the third quarter with a go-ahead one-yard touchdown pass to Davante Adams, whom Rodgers connected with for a 43-yard gain earlier on the drive. After the Jets fell behind 22-17 in the fourth quarter, Rodgers found Adams for a 71-yard touchdown and a two-point conversion to take a three-point lead with 3:24 remaining, then linked up with Adams for a 41-yard gain to set up Breece Hall's game-winning touchdown run. Adams accounted for 198 of Rodgers' 289 passing yards, and their chemistry will be tough for the Rams to stop in Week 16.

Rodgers completed 27 of 39 passes for 339 yards and one touchdown in Sunday's 32-26 overtime loss to the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers not only surpassed 200 passing yards for the first time since Week 9, but he exceeded 300 for the first time as a member of the Jets. He found Garrett Wilson for a 35-yard gain to convert on fourth down in the second quarter, setting up Isaiah Davis' 17-yard touchdown run on the next play. Rodgers connected with Wilson again for a 42-yard pickup in the third quarter to set up Rodgers' only touchdown pass of the afternoon -- a three-yarder to Davante Adams. All told, Wilson and Adams combined for 223 of Rodgers' 339 passing yards, but the Jets never got a chance to possess the ball in overtime as Miami drove down the field to drop New York's record to 3-10. Barring an announcement to the contrary from the team, Rodgers will remain the starter in Week 15, when the Jets face the 3-10 Jaguars in a game with significant implications for the 2025 NFL Draft order.

Not only are the Jets starting Rodgers this week against Miami, but they hope that he can play the rest of the season, Jay Glazer reported on Fox NFL Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Glazer emphasized how much Rodgers was playing through injuries earlier in the season, including a Week 2 Grade 2 hamstring tear. This shoots down earlier speculation that the Jets might turn to Tyrod Taylor, at least for now -- each week's results can potentially change an organization's mindset.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Monday that Rodgers will retain the Jets' starting quarterback job for the team's Week 14 game at Miami, Eric Allen of the team's official site reports. "We have great belief in Aaron, and we think he gives us the best opportunity to win," Ulbrich said.
EDGE Analysis
Ulbrich reaffirmed Rodgers' standing atop the depth chart after the veteran signal-caller endured another disappointing outing in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Seahawks, dropping the Jets to 3-9 on the season and putting the team on the brink of elimination from playoff contention. Coming out of a Week 12 bye, the Jets offense initially looked sharp with two first-quarter touchdowns, but Rodgers struggled to lead productive drives thereafter and threw a back-breaking pick-six midway through the second quarter that kicked off a stretch of 19 unanswered Seattle points to close out the game. Through his 12 starts this season, Rodgers has completed 62.5 percent of his passes for a career-low 6.3 yards per attempt, 19 touchdowns and eight interceptions. While Rodgers will remain the Jets' starter for at least one more week, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported Sunday that the 41-year-old signal-caller is viewed as a long shot to return to the team in 2025. As such, it wouldn't be surprising if Rodgers was benched at some point down the stretch in favor of Tyrod Taylor, as the 35-year-old backup is under contract through 2025.

Rodgers completed 21 of 39 passes for 185 yards, two touchdowns and one interception in Sunday's 26-21 loss to the Seahawks. He added two rushing attempts for six yards.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers has been playing through injuries to his legs but looked much more spry coming out of the Week 12 bye, extending plays with his legs and even throwing a block on a reverse in the first quarter. He also threw a pair of short first-quarter touchdown passes (eight yards to Davante Adams and four yards to Isaiah Davis). Rodgers should have had his third touchdown of the first half in the second quarter, but he overthrew a wide open Garrett Wilson in the end zone, then tossed a pick-six on the very next play. That interception turned the tide, kicking off a 19-0 Seattle run to end the game. The nearly 41-year-old quarterback is considered a longshot to return to the Jets next season, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, but Rodgers should remain the starter for the remainder of the 2024 campaign, which will continue with a Week 14 road game in Miami.

Interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich said Monday that Rodgers will "absolutely" start Sunday's game against the Seahawks, while noting that the Jets have had no internal discussions of shutting the veteran quarterback down for the season, Rich Cimini of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Though the 3-8 Jets are close to being mathematically eliminated from playoff contention coming out of a Week 12 bye, Rodgers looks poised to continue directing the offense, even while he's probably operating at less than full health after having contended with knee, hamstring and ankle injuries in September and October. Rodgers' condition looked as though it might have improved after he was a full participant in practices ahead of both of the Jets' past two games, but it wasn't evident in his performance, as he threw for under 200 yards in losses to the Cardinals and Colts heading into the bye week. Rodgers, who will turn 41 years old next week, recently said he plans to keep playing in 2025, but a return to the Jets could be unlikely in light of how the season has transpired. Rodgers remains under contract with the Jets through 2025, but since none of his salary is guaranteed, the organization would be able to easily move on from him this offseason.

Rodgers completed 22 of 29 passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns while rushing once for seven yards in Sunday's 28-27 loss to the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
The Jets didn't pick up a first down until after the two-minute warning in the first half, but they finally showed some life on their last drive before halftime, which Rodgers capped with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Breece Hall. Rodgers added an 11-yard touchdown pass to Kenny Yeboah to put the Jets up 24-16 in the fourth quarter, but the Colts responded with a 12-3 run. Rodgers had a chance to save the day after taking over with 46 seconds remaining and no timeouts, but he proceeded to fumble the ball and then take a sack within a three-play span as time ran out on the Jets, and they fell to 3-8 heading into their Week 12 bye.
