Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said Thursday that Rodgers (illness) has continued to take part in virtual meetings this week and remains on track to start Sunday against the Seahawks, provided the quarterback "checks out well" when eligible to return from the reserve/COVID-19 list Saturday, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
During his appearance Tuesday on "The Pat McAfee Show," Rodgers was optimistic that he would clear all COVID-19-related protocols prior to Sunday's game, and the fact that LaFleur expressed similar sentiments is a reassuring sign. Even so, due to his status as an unvaccinated player who tested positive for the virus, Rodgers will need to pass a cardiac screen and exhibit improved symptoms at the conclusion of his 10-day isolation period Saturday in order to play the following day. Rodgers said Tuesday that he's gradually ramped up his conditioning work while he's been away from the team, and the lack of on-field practice reps in advance of the game against Seattle should hinder him less from a preparation standpoint compared to a more inexperienced player. In the event Rodgers experiences a setback in his recovery from the virus and isn't able to play this weekend, backup Jordan Love will keep himself prepared to make a second straight start.

Rodgers (illness) said Tuesday during his appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show" that he's confident he'll clear all necessary COVID-19 protocols in order to play Sunday against the Seahawks. "I believe there's a health hurdle -- movement, sweating and getting into it and making sure my body, especially my heart -- is fine with physical exertion," Rodgers said, when asked about any potential barriers to him playing this weekend.
EDGE Analysis
Since Rodgers is following the protocol for unvaccinated players, he won't be eligible to return to the Packers' facility any earlier than Saturday, 10 days after he initially tested positive for the virus. Based on Rodgers' comments, he doesn't seem to be exhibiting any symptoms of the virus, but in order to be eligible to play, he'll still need to turn in consecutive negative test results at least 24 hours apart by the end of the 10-day period. Because of the timing of his placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Rodgers won't be able to take part in practice this week, but he'll continue to stay on top of the Packers' game plan virtually while gradually picking up the intensity of his conditioning work during his final days of quarantine. In the meantime, Jordan Love will take the first-team reps in practice and keep prepared to make his second start this weekend in the event Rodgers doesn't clear the protocol before Sunday's game.

Green Bay will place Rodgers on the reserve/COVID-19 list Wednesday, Mike Spofford of the Packers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
After playing without Davante Adams due to a positive test for the virus last Thursday in Arizona, Green Bay will be without the reigning league MVP in Week 9 for the same reason. Head coach Matt LaFleur mentioned Wednesday that Rodgers "won't be available this week" and doesn't know how long the quarterback will be sidelined. In Rodgers' place, second-year signal-caller Jordan Love will receive his first career start Sunday at Kansas City. With Kurt Benkert (undisclosed) on the practice squad COVID-19 lis, the Packers are expected to sign Blake Bortles to temporarily fill the opening on the practice squad before he's elevated to the active roster to serve as Love's backup Sunday.

Rodgers (illness), who won't be eligible to play Sunday against the Chiefs after informing teammates Wednesday that he tested positive for COVID-19, could also be at risk of missing the Packers' Week 10 game against the Seahawks on Nov. 14 due to his status as an unvaccinated player, Ian Rapoport and Mike Garofolo of NFL Network report.
EDGE Analysis
Though Rodgers told Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com and other Green Bay media Aug. 26 that he was "immunized," that evidently didn't equate to him being vaccinated. Per NFL COVID-19 protocols, unvaccinated players who test positive for the virus are required to complete a 10-day isolation period and aren't eligible to return until they're no longer exhibiting symptoms. Assuming Wednesday counts as the first day of Rodgers' isolation period, he won't be cleared to rejoin the team before at least Sat., Nov. 13, one day prior to the Packers' matchup with the Seahawks. While the lack of practice reps beforehand isn't an ideal scenario, the Packers would presumably still be comfortable having Rodgers start Week 10 if he does in fact clear the necessary protocols in the minimum amount of the time. With Rodgers out for at least this Sunday's game in Kansas City, however, 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love will make his first career regular-season start in place of the NFL's reigning MVP.

Rodgers tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday and will miss Sunday's game against the Chiefs, Tom Pelissero of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Packers have yet to officially confirm the report, but Rodgers will more than likely be placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list later Wednesday. Second-year signal-caller Jordan Love is expected to handle the first-team reps in practice this week and make his first NFL start in place of Rodgers in Kansas City.

Rodgers completed 22 of 37 passes for 184 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Packers' 24-21 win over the Cardinals on Thursday night. He also rushed twice for three yards.
EDGE Analysis
Playing without top wideouts Davante Adams and Allen Lazard due to their placement on the reserve/COVID-19 list, Rodgers faced an uphill battle against an undefeated Cardinals team and persevered. The grizzled veteran worked around the makeshift receiving corps by targeting running back Aaron Jones a team-high 11 times, and he also leveraged his extensive rapport with veteran Randall Cobb into a pair of second-half passing touchdowns. Rodgers had a pass knocked down on 4th and goal with just over three minutes remaining that could have potentially sealed the game for Green Bay at that point had it avoided linebacker Devon Kennard's hand, but the Packers defense ultimately took care of buttoning up the upset victory by picking off Kyler Murray in the end zone with 12 seconds left. Rodgers will look to bounce back to his usual level of production with his full pass-catching arsenal available when the Packers travel to Arrowhead Stadium for a Week 9 showdown with the Chiefs a week from Sunday.

Rodgers completed 27 of 35 passes for 274 yards and three touchdowns against Washington on Sunday, adding two carries for 17 yards.
EDGE Analysis
The contest was somewhat close in the first half, but Rodgers had his grip on the game the whole time and steadily applied more pressure as time passed, throwing a clean game and involving a variety of targets to lead Green Bay to a comfortable 24-10 win. Davante Adams (six catches for 76 yards and one touchdown on seven targets) shared the runway with Allen Lazard (five catches for 60 yards and one touchdown on six targets) and Robert Tonyan (four catches for 63 yards and one touchdown on five targets) to establish a balanced passing attack. The reemergence of Lazard and Tonyan can't hurt the Packers offense, especially with a potential shootout ahead against Kyler Murray and the Cardinals on Thursday for Week 8. Rodgers has been very sharp since his rough Week 1 game, producing 17 touchdowns (two rushing) versus one interception over the past six games.

Rodgers completed 17 of 23 passes for 195 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions while also rushing seven times for 19 yards and another score in the Packers' 24-14 win over the Bears on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers started slowly with a scoreless first quarter before notching his first of two touchdown throws on a one-yard shovel pass to Allen Lazard early in the second quarter. The future Hall of Famer would go on to lead a 10-play, 90-yard march in the third quarter that culminated in a 12-yard scoring toss to Aaron Jones, and Rodgers capped off the fantasy-friendly effort with a six-yard touchdown run late in the fourth quarter that saw him get just inside the right pylon and then jaw some with the Soldier Field crowd. The performance wasn't Rodgers' most prolific through the air by any means, but with the trio of scores, he kept fantasy managers pleased. He'll look to get passing yardage back up to usual standard when the Packers host Washington in Week 7.

Rodgers completed 27 of 39 passes for 344 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in Sunday's 25-22 overtime win against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers threw an interception while Green Bay's offense failed to score in the first quarter but picked it up afterward. His first touchdown came on a 12-yarder to tailback AJ Dillon, then Rodgers floated a fade to favorite Davante Adams for a five-yard score before halftime. He'd often go back to Adams in the second half and overtime, at one point completing a 59-yard bomb that helped Adams amass a career-best 206 yards on the day. With a big connection to Randall Cobb to set up the Packers' elusive, game-winning field goal as well, Rodgers put together another strong display to begin the campaign. He'll now look forward to a matchup against the division-rival Bears in Week 6.

Rodgers completed 20 of 36 passes for 248 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions in the Packers' 27-17 win over the Steelers on Sunday. He also rushed three times for two yards.
EDGE Analysis
Rodgers wasn't at his absolute sharpest, but he did tie Dan Marino for sixth all-time in touchdown passes (420) in a mistake-free effort. The future Hall of Famer connected with Randall Cobb on scoring tosses of 23 yards and one yard, the latter the milestone throw in the latter portion of the third quarter. Rodgers has yet to author his first 300-yard effort of the season, but he now boasts a fantasy-friendly 8:2 TD:INT through four games and has multiple touchdown passes in three straight. Rodgers will look to keep up his strong start in a Week 5 road showdown against Joe Burrow and the Bengals.
