Aaron Dobson (neck) is practicing Wednesday.
Dobson left Sunday night's win at Atlanta in the third quarter, but appears to be fine now. However, his role is uncertain with Danny Amendola (groin) and Rob Gronkowski (back, forearm) nearing their returns. Dobson is behind Kenbrell Thompkins and Julian Edelman.

Aaron Dobson exited Sunday night's Week 4 game with a neck injury.
Dobson suffered the injury in the third quarter and is likely done for the night. He was a non-factor in the passing game and will finish with just one catch for 10 yards on three targets.

Aaron Dobson caught three passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in New England's Week 2 win over the Jets.
Making his NFL debut, Dobson's career got off to an idyllic start as he caught a 39-yard touchdown on his first snap. He was wide open thanks to the entire Jets defense biting on a play fake. Things quickly went downhill, however, as Dobson muffed no fewer than four of his proceeding nine targets, and generally looked like he had no idea what was going on. The Patriots' situation at wideout is such that Dobson will likely remain a part of the game plan in Week 3 against the Bucs, but he's miles from being a viable fantasy option.

Patriots WR Aaron Dobson is active for Week 2 against the Jets.
Dobson missed Week 1, so Thursday will be his NFL debut. We wouldn't expect the second-round pick to play more than a handful of snaps. Despite the Patriots' dire injury situation on offense, Dobson remains off the radar in re-draft leagues.

ESPN Boston believes Aaron Dobson (hamstring) may have been a game-day inactive even if he was healthy.
Dobson is behind Danny Amendola, Kenbrell Thompkins and Julian Edelman on the receiving depth chart. Fellow rookie Josh Boyce contributes more on special teams. That means Dobson might need an injury to dress on Sundays. He's only a Dynasty hold at this point.

Aaron Dobson (hamstring) has officially been ruled out for Week 1.
Dobson was limited in practice all week with a hamstring injury and remains day-to-day. The Patriots will go with Julian Edelman and Josh Boyce behind Danny Amendola and Kenbrell Thompkins. Rob Gronkowski, Nate Ebner, Duron Harmon and Brandon Bolden have also been downgraded to out for Sunday's game against the Bills.

ESPN Boston projects Aaron Dobson (hamstring) to be among the Patriots' Week 1 inactives.
Dobson has been limited in practice this week. He also doesn't contribute on special teams, which bottom-of-the-roster players need to do if they're going to be active on game days. If Dobson indeed does sit out against the Bills, Julian Edelman and Josh Boyce will back up Danny Amendola and Kenbrell Thompkins.

Aaron Dobson (hamstring) was limited again in practice Friday and is listed as questionable for Week 1.
Despite the questionable tag, Dobson is expected to play Sunday at Buffalo in a rotation with Josh Boyce and Julian Edelman across from Kenbrell Thompkins and Danny Amendola in three-wide sets. At least until Rob Gronkowski returns, the Pats will be more of a three-receiver than two-tight end offense.

The Boston Herald expects the Patriots to use Aaron Dobson, Kenbrell Thompkins, Josh Boyce, and Julian Edelman on a rotational basis.
Thompkins will likely get the start this week, and we'd expect him to get the most playing time of the four. All four are going to play. The only receiver locked into an every-down role is Danny Amendola. We like Thompkins as a low-end WR3 this week, but we may need to temper expectations. Dobson and Boyce are currently off the re-draft radar, though one could emerge at some point soon.
