Raiders LB Aaron Curry (PUP, knee) will not be activated for Week 9 against the Buccaneers. Curry's comeback will be delayed for at least another week. The Raiders have until Wednesday to decide on whether to activate, waive, or place him on injured reserve. Beat writer Steve Corkran expects Curry to be used primarily on special teams and as a reserve linebacker.

The Raiders have not ruled out the possibility of activating LB Aaron Curry (PUP, knee) for Week 9 against the Buccaneers. Coach Dennis Allen sounded optimistic about activating Curry earlier in the week, but took a step back on Friday. "I'll make that decision, probably, whenever I need to, whenever I feel it's the right thing for our football team, and we've still got time to do that," Allen said. "I'm not going to make that decision before I have to." The Raiders have to decide by Wednesday whether to activate Curry, waive him or place him on season-ending Injured Reserve.

The Raiders are considering activating LB Aaron Curry (PUP, knee) for Week 8 against the Chiefs. Curry returned to practice last week and could be added to the 53-man roster Sunday. If activated, he'll likely be limited to special teams initially and backup at all three linebacker spots.

Raiders WLB Aaron Curry (knee) resumed practicing Wednesday for the first time since landing on the PUP list in September. The Raiders now have 21 days to decide whether to activate Curry from the PUP list. He was apparently no worse for the wear in practice. "He was being extra physical," safety Tyvon Branch said. "That's what we expect of him."

The Raiders expect WLB Aaron Curry (knee) to begin practice next week when he is first eligible to come off the PUP list. The Raiders will get to take a look at the state of Curry's knees in practice for three weeks before deciding whether to activate him. If healthy, the former No. 4 overall pick would at least push Miles Burris for snaps on the weak side.

Raiders placed WLB Aaron Curry on the reserve/PUP list. Curry missed the entirety of training camp after his ailing knees failed to respond to stem-cell treatment. Rookie Miles Burris, a favorite of NFL Films guru Greg Cosell, has been starting in Curry's place throughout August.

Coach Dennis Allen indicated Sunday that the Raiders are losing patience with WLB Aaron Curry's troublesome knees. "We're fastly approaching that day where he's either going to be out here ready to go or he's not," said Allen. "Because it's not a game where you just show up and play." Curry recently visited a doctor in Los Angeles for a second opinion on his ailing knees. He showed up at camp Sunday and still couldn't practice. Curry opened camp on the PUP list and could stay there into the season.

Steve Corkran of the Contra Costa Times suggests WLB Aaron Curry is in danger of not making the Raiders' roster. Curry recently traveled to L.A. for a second opinion on his ailing knees, and he's yet to practice in training camp. No portion of Curry's $3.5M salary is guaranteed. The Raiders could end up rolling with rookie Miles Burris instead.

Raiders WLB Aaron Curry has left camp for a second opinion on his ailing knees. On the active/PUP list, Curry's knees haven't responded to stem-cell treatment. "He'll go down and we'll let him get basically a second opinion and see if we can't do something to get him better," was all coach Dennis Allen would say about the situation on Friday. It's sounding like Curry's season is in jeopardy. None of Curry's $3.5 million salary is guaranteed.
