Silas will join 12 other G League stars as a member of the 2018 NBA G League USA roster for the upcoming International Challenge.

The 30 year old former Sixer has been a a big-time scorer and sharpshooter for the Northern Arizona Suns, averaging 19.3 points, 4.0 boards, 1.8 assists, 1.3 steals and 3.9 made threes per game over 33 contests. He and his fellow G League stars will face the Mexican National Team on Sunday, February 18th during the NBA All-Star festivities.

Sixers sign G Xavier Silas to a non-guaranteed contract. After Silas was injured during summer league while playing for the Sixers, and had to undergo facial surgery for "several sinus fractures," he'll be back in camp with Philadelphia.

Silas was injured during a summer league game where he took an elbow from a teammate and also suffered a concussion as well. He had facial surgery to repair the issue and it's not yet known how long he'll be forced to sit on the sidelines.

Sixers signed G Xavier Silas for the remainder of the regular season. Silas impressed the Sixers' brass with a strong training camp, but there just wasn't enough room for him on the roster. He'll likely see minutes over the final two games with the team now resting/tanking ahead of the playoffs.
