Henry (knee) was able to play some 5-on-5 last week but hasn't been fully cleared for practice, the Orange County Register reports.
Henry holds the goal of active status on opening night -- Oct. 28 versus the Rockets -- but with only a whisper of 5-on-5 work to date, he'll be hard-pressed to uphold such a forecast. Once cleared, though, he'll enter a competition with Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Jordan Clarkson, and Wayne Ellington for reserve run on the wing. In the long run, Henry will have to fend off his perpetual bout with injury, which has capped him at 50 games in any of his four seasons.

Henry has still not recovered from surgery on his right knee back in April and will not practice when the Lakers' training camp opens Tuesday, InsideSoCal.com reports.
Henry, once healthy, will compete for backup minutes at both shooting guard and small forward, with Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Wayne Ellington, and rokie Jordan Clarkson, but given that the most games he has played in his four year NBA career is 50 back in 2012-13, it is very difficult to rely on him to stay healthy. He remains a deep league only fantasy option, despite turning in the best year of his career last season.

Henry (knee) is rehabilitating through basketball activities but is yet to return to five-on-five action, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Henry's recovery from offseason knee surgery is moving along relatively slowly, but the good news is his ailing wrist is now at 100 percent. The Kansas product may be limited in training camp, but he should be a full go when the regular season rolls around. Henry was effective when in the lineup last season, but he missed 39 games due to various injuries.

Henry (knee, wrist) may be limited in training camp as he recovers from offseason surgeries, InsideSoCal.com reports.
New coach Byron Scott said that he "hasn't seen him do much on the court" and the Lakers' confirmed that Henry had yet to fully heal from his offseason surgeries to his knee and wrist. He is still expected to be healthy when the 2014-15 season begins, but the lack of preparation may impact how many minutes he plays, especially initially. Henry missed 39 games last season, averaging 10.0 points, 0.7 three-pointers, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 21 minutes per game. He'll likely play behind Kobe Bryant, Nick Young, and Wesley Johnson on the wing this season.

The Lakers sign G/F Xavier Henry on Friday.
The Lakers know everything about Henry's knee situation and at the reported one-year and $1 million they were talking about there's not a whole lot to nitpick here for either side. Injury concerns and fantasy deficiencies should keep Henry on the periphery of most drafts unless there is a major shake-up in La-La Land.

The Lakers and Xavier Henry are reportedly nearing an agreement on a one-year contract worth $1 million.
Henry averaged 10.0 points and 2.7 rebounds with the Lakers last year, but the fact that he's never made it through more than 50 games in an NBA season makes him a non-factor with regards to fantasy.

Xavier Henry said he expects to be healthy in 5-6 weeks and wants to re-sign with the Lakers.
He's really had a tough time staying healthy and the Lakers probably don't see him as a top priority. Henry shot just 41.7 percent from the field last year and didn't really help himself with the increased playing time. He's unlikely to be in an NBA team's rotation next season.

Xavier Henry believes that he will be fully healthy in 5-6 weeks.
Henry definitely warrants the "injury prone" label, as he's never made it through more than 50 games in a season. There's plenty of time for Henry to recover between now and the start of training camp, but you just never know when that next injury will arise. The fact that Henry will be playing alongside Kobe Bryant, a man that will demand a healthy heaping of minutes and touches, partnered with Henry's inability to stay healthy, makes him a non-factor when discussing the fantasy landscape.

Xavier Henry (wrist, knee) had successful surgery on his left wrist and right knee on Friday.
He is expected to make a full recovery and the rest will definitely help Henry's knee. While the ligament issue in his wrist isn't exactly minor, his knee injury has been the main reason why he's missed 39 games. He's not going to be on the fantasy radar with the Lakers hopefully having better health as a team next year.

Xavier Henry (knee, wrist) will have surgery on a torn ligament in his left wrist and arthroscopic surgery on his right knee on Friday,
His knee injury has been an issue since back in December and that's likely what has ended his season. Henry hasn't been able to stay healthy since dating back to his Kansas days, so he might have tough time getting his career back on track.
