Lemon Jr. has been unquestionably one of the best G League acquisitions this season, thriving to the tune of 19.0 points, 9.2 assists, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 26 games with Windy City. While it remains unclear why Maine let the sterling guard leave, it's hard to argue his impact with the team from the Central. Lemon Jr. appears to be blocked with the likes of guards Kris Dunn and Zach LaVine occupying both starting guard spots at the NBA level, but the likes of Ryan Arcidiancono, Shaquille Harrison, Antonio Blakeney and Rawle Alkins could have some more competition for minutes should Lemon Jr. ever receive a call-up.

The G League mid-season All-NBA guard certainly finished on a strong note, acting as the primarily facilitator on a night where seven players posted double-digit points, but only one exceeded 20. Lemon Jr. has been a revelation for the Bulls since his release from Boston and likely could be a candidate to be called up at some point in the ensuing weeks.

Lemon Jr. has accumulated himself nicely with Windy City, developing into arguably the team's only consistent offensive threat on a night to night basis. With a plethora of young guards currently on the NBA roster, it seems unlikely Lemon Jr. will find his way up to the Bulls at this point this season, but his continual development will be a key talking point for a Windy City squad that has come into its own in recent weeks.

Lemon Jr. scored 30 points (14-23 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT) to go along with seven assists, two rebounds and two steals in the win Friday over the Bayhawks.

EDGE Analysis

Lemon Jr. has developed into a certifiable star for Windy City after joining the organization in December. Through eight games, the point guard is averaging 21.2 points, 7.7 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 2.1 steals and figures to be a potential call-up for the Bulls at some point down the line.

Lemon finished with 25 points (11-19 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, 10 assists, a steal and a block over 37 minutes Friday against Iowa.

Lemon pieced together an outstanding shooting outing, hitting 57.9 percent of his shots from the field including his lone 3-point attempt. He paced his team in minutes logged and finished second in points scored to CJ Fair. Lemon has been racking up points in the G League this year, averaging 21.5 points along with 7.6 assists and 4.5 boards over 15 contests.

Lemon Jr. finished Wednesday's loss to Long Island with 18 points (8-17 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 12 assists, four rebounds and two steals.

EDGE Analysis

Lemon Jr. was quickly scooped up after being released from Boston, landing in a starting role with Windy City. Six turnovers sort of clouds the guard's debut double-double, but the 26-year-old should wind up seeing plenty of time in the starting unit moving forward.

Lemon Jr. was waived by the Celtics on Thursday, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.

EDGE Analysis

Lemon, who was on a two-way deal, did not see game action for the Celtics this season. However, in the G League, has averaged 23.5 points on 50.8 percent shooting, plus 6.4 assists, 4.4 rebounds and 2.6 steals.

The two-way contract player continues to lead Maine points, assists and minutes played. Unfortunately, the 6-3 point guard can't help the Red Claws on the glass, where they were once again out-rebounded by the Mad Ants. Lemon and his teammates will look to improve their 1-3 record when they travel north of the border Thursday to face the Raptors 905.

Lemon produced 23 points (9-21 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 2-2 FT), 11 assists and eight rebounds across a team leading 40 minutes in Thursday's 113-101 home loss to the Canton Charge.

The two-way contract point guard did what he could to pull out the win, nearly delivering a triple-double for Crustacean Nation. Three games into the season, Lemon is leading the Red Claws in points, assists and field goal attempts, while shooting a bullish 50.8 percent from the field. Lemon and his Maine teammates now look to turn things around Saturday in Fort Wayne.
