Pinson contributed a rebound, an assist and a steal in one minute of play during Wednesday's loss to the Pacers.
EDGE Analysis
Pinson was productive in his first action of the season, though it came in an unfortunate defeat to the Pacers. After averaging 4.5 points and 2.0 rebounds in 11.7 minutes across 18 games in his rookie year, it appears as if Pinson's been displaced in the Nets' rotation. There's a good chance he could see time in the G-League this year, depending on the Nets' roster needs.

Pinson (back) re-signed Monday with the Nets on a two-year contract, Michael Scotto of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brooklyn pulled Pinson's qualifying offer over the weekend, allowing him to become a free agent. The North Carolina product didn't wait long to find work, however, as Brooklyn quickly re-signed him once the team had more salary-cap flexibility. Pinson had also been nursing a back injury that sidelined him for Sunday's Las Vegas Summer League matchup with the Hornets, but that's no longer a concern, either. He suited up in Monday's 88-85 win over the Wizards, finishing with nine points.

Pinson won't be available Sunday for the Nets' Las Vegas Summer League matchup with the Croatian national team due to lower-back tightness, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pinson appeared in 22 games for the Nets in 2018-19 as an undrafted rookie out of North Carolina, averaging 4.5 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 11.7 minutes per game. The Nets elected to pull his qualifying offer earlier in the weekend, so he's now an unrestricted free agent even though he'll continue to participate with Brooklyn's summer-league squad. Pinson finished with 14 points, six rebounds and six assists in 29 minutes in his first appearance in Las Vegas and apparently injured his back along the way.

Pinson was extended a qualifying offer by the Nets on Friday, making him a restricted free agent, Michael Scotto of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pinson saw limited run with the Nets last season, playing 211 minutes as a rookie. While he struggled offensively, Brooklyn still appears to be interested in his services.

The Nets signed Pinson to a standard contract for the rest of the season Wednesday, Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pinson had been playing on a two-way deal with the Nets throughout his rookie season, making 17 appearances at the NBA level while averaging 4.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 11.3 minutes per game. The transaction brings the Nets' roster to the maximum 15 players and will allow him to participate in postseason contests, though he's unlikely to be a regular member of coach Kenny Atkinson's rotation.

Pinson connected on a game-winning three pointer in Tuesday's G League Conference Finals victory over Lakeland. He finished the contest with 18 points (8-22 FG, 2-10 3Pt), six rebounds, six assists and a block.
EDGE Analysis
Pinson struggled mightily from deep but managed to make the important shots count, knocking down a triple as time expired to send Long Island to the G League Finals. The two-way forward averaged 20.7 points, 6.1 assists, 5.9 rebounds and 0.9 steals in 34 games with Long Island this seaosn.

Pinson is listed as active for Saturday's game against Atlanta, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although Pinson has seen minimal run recently, he could see some minutes against the Hawks due to Shabazz Napier (personal) being ruled out. In 12 appearances this year, the rookie guard's averaging 4.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 14.1 minutes.

Pinson finished with 28 points (10-18 FG, 7-12 3Pt, 1-2 FT), nine rebounds, three assists and a steal in 35 minutes Sunday against the Hustle.
EDGE Analysis
Pinson's team-high 28 points led the Nets to a 137-132 victory. He evidently was feeling it from beyond the arc, as he successfully converted on seven of 12 attempts on the day. The North Carolina product has been playing at a high level throughout this season in the G League, posting averages of 20.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 1.0 steal in 28 starts. If Pinson keeps it up, there's little doubt he'll get a shot with an NBA team at some point.

Pinson played 26 minutes and finished with 10 points (2-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds and two assists Monday in the Nets' 113-94 loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
For the third time in the Nets' past six games, Pinson cracked 20 minutes and flirted with a double-double off the bench. Pinson's recent surge in production has given him some short-term value in very deep formats, but he'll likely be out of the rotation and back in the G League once the Nets reclaim some health on the wing. Joe Harris (hip) is day and day and could be back in action Wednesday against the Nuggets, while both Allen Crabbe (knee) and Caris LeVert (foot) could return from long-term absences to play at some point before the All-Star break.

Pinson will be sent to the G League for Friday's game and then be recalled ahead of Brooklyn's contest against the Magic on Saturday, Brian Lewis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pinson has gotten some spot run for the Nets, and has totaled 41 points, 19 rebounds, 15 assists and three steals in 124 total minutes across nine appearances. Still, he'll presumably continue spending most of his time in the G League.
