The Lakers announced Steve Blake underwent surgery Wednesday to repair a torn abdominal muscle and he'll miss roughly six to eight weeks. Nothing new here as the Lakers confirmed what we already knew. With Steve Nash (leg) out at least another week, it'll be the Chris Duhon and Darius Morris show for the Lakers. Kobe will likely continue to handle the ball more, as well.

Steve Blake needs laproscopic surgery to repair a torn abdominal muscle, and he's expected to miss a minimum of 6-8 weeks. With Steve Nash still out 10-14 days, the Lakers will continue to rely on Darius Morris and Chris Duhon at PG, with more ball-handling duties for Kobe.

Steve Blake's (abdomen) MRI revealed that his "tissues are torn from the bone," a source tells the Los Angeles Daily News. Blake has been ruled out for at least two more weeks (seven games), but it sounds like he could miss even more time than that. At this point, Steve Nash (leg) may have a chance to return before Blake, but both point guards remain out indefinitely.

Steve Blake (abdomen) announced on Twitter that he'll be out at least two more weeks following an MRI on Wednesday. Mike D'Antoni said earlier it would be "a little while" before Blake returns and this seems to confirm that. It'll continue to be the Darius Morris/Chris Duhon show in L.A. with both Blake and Steve Nash (leg) sidelined, but neither Morris nor Duhon provide any real fantasy value. The only boost is Kobe Bryant should continue to see more time as the de facto PG.

Mike D'Antoni said that "it's going to be a little while" until Steve Blake (abdomen) returns. "He said he felt better (Tuesday) but he still feels it a little bit, and he can't feel that when he starts to practice," the coach said. "Then if he doesn't feel it in practice, then he'll play." With both Blake and Nash (leg) on the shelf, the Darius Morris/Chris Duhon show will roll in for Los Angeles.

Steve Blake (abdomen) didn't practice on Monday and has been ruled out for Tuesday's game vs. the Pacers. Blake is "progressing slowly" and the Lakers are being cautious to avoid setbacks. He doesn't have fantasy appeal even with Steve Nash (leg) still sidelined, so his return date isn't exactly a burning question.

Steve Blake (abdominal strain) could return on Tuesday if he makes it through Monday's practice without any setbacks. Blake will probably be eased back into the rotation, but Mike D'Antoni has had nothing but praise for the veteran PG. He expects Blake's 3-point shooting to increase in his offensive system, adding, "He'll pick it up real easy. I'm looking forward to it."

Steve Blake (abdomen) will not play in any of the Lakers next three games. Darius Morris will continue to start in Blake's absence with Steve Nash (leg) still sidelined as well. "I would like to see him practice before he plays," Mike D'Antoni said. The coach is hopeful Blake will be ready to play after the three-game stretch, and while Morris will start, he holds no value in standard leagues as Kobe Bryant will serve as the Lakers playmaker.

Steve Blake (abdomen) will not play on Tuesday, meaning that Darius Morris will make another start. Morris has averaged six points and four assists as a starter, but he's shooting just 38.9 percent from the floor. Morris isn't a fantasy option in standard leagues.
