The hamstring injury that will sideline Stephen Jackson on Wednesday is also the issue that held him out on Monday. Jackson's absence on Monday was originally reported as a DNP-CD, but Scott Skiles said that Jackson -- who did dress Monday -- was only available "in an absolute emergency." Once healthy, a pre-deadline trade remains the best hope for re-establishing Jackson's lost value, but his contract ($10 million next year) won't make that easy.

Stephen Jackson (hamstring) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Bulls. After picking up a DNP-Coach's decision on Monday, Jackson is now dealing with a mysterious hamstring injury that previously went unreported. Scott Skiles and Jackson are not even close to being on the same page and Milwaukee likely regrets ever dealing for him. We'd have no problem dropping him for a hot free agent right now. Mike Dunleavy played a huge role off the bench against Orlando on Monday with 18 points in 36 minutes and is poised for major playing time once again.

Stephen Jackson was a DNP-CD on Monday against the Magic. Jackson may have been benched for this game after a week's worth of negative comments, but in reality, this isn't entirely on him. The Bucks never should have acquired him in the first place, and any minutes he gets in advance of the trade deadline should be considered house money. The only way he should be on rosters is as a stash, and dropping him for a hot free agent is a fine play.

Stephen Jackson said he would like to play for the Nets or the Magic. Even though Jackson is still getting limited minutes off the bench for the Bucks, he's not afraid to talk about leaving. "I'm at the stage of my career where I want to be in a different situation," he said Sunday. Jackson knows that a trade is going to be difficult as he is owed $10 million next season. We wouldn't expect any movement until much closer to the March 15 trade deadline.

Stephen Jackson recently confirmed that he's waiting to be traded from the Bucks. When asked whether he had a future in Milwaukee, Jackson responded, "Not at all. It's obvious, you can see that. I'm just waiting until my situation is different." He feels disrespected by Scott Skiles and mentioned that he'd love to play with Dwight Howard in Orlando, but his $10 million salary for 2012-13 isn't exactly appealing trade bait.

Beat writer Gery Woelful described Stephen Jackson's relationship with Scott Skiles on Thursday, among other things reporting that Skiles provides no advance notice about role changes nor does he talk to Jackson after he benches him. We don't know the story here, and it's too bad the NBA League Pass doesn't have a channel with just their awkward interactions on a loop. The situation doesn't speak highly of either guy, and while the basketball world at large already thinks Jackson is difficult, Skiles doesn't get nearly enough mainstream criticism for running his teams into the ground. We've pegged Jackson as a roster stash, whose value if traded to a better place will be higher than many players found on the wire.

Stephen Jackson played just 20 minutes on Wednesday, scoring two points on free throws with two rebounds, five assists, and one steal. Bringing Jackson to Milwaukee is easily one of the blunders of the offseason, and owners should consider him a stash in the event he starts getting along or he gets traded. Feel free to drop him for a hot free agent, but keep in mind his upside will be higher than many players found on the wire.

Stephen Jackson played just 17 minutes on Monday, scoring seven points on 3-of-9 shooting (including a three) with three rebounds and a steal. We'll have to look, but sitting on Scott Skiles' bench probably didn't appear in Captain Jack's music video from the summer. Owners are going to have to take the good and the bad with him and hope the productive nights justify a spot on rosters. Perhaps it's easier to view him as a stash with the hopes the trade deadline sets him free, but we can no longer call him a must-own player. Just weigh your choices carefully.

Stephen Jackson played less than 20 minutes off the Bucks' bench on Saturday, scoring four points and handing out five assists. Jax shot 2-of-8 from the field, predictably. At this point, the real news would be if he played well or at least got more minutes -- it's starting to seem as though only a trade can salvage his value.

Stephen Jackson played just 23 minutes off the bench in the Bucks' overtime win on Friday, but still managed 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting (no threes) with four rebounds and five assists. It's another productive line for Jackson but it comes under the worst circumstances, as he will be a risky play for the foreseeable future. He still deserves to be owned, however, for both the chance that he is traded and his potential for production in the short-term. Mike Dunleavy added 12 points, six boards, a steal, and a block in 25 minutes off the bench, too.
