Celtics agreed to terms with F/C Sean Williams. Williams is expected to be in uniform on Friday against the Hawks. He'll give Boston further depth inside and will be postseason eligible.

The Celtics are ready to sign F/C Sean Williams and waive Jermaine O'Neal. Given the Celtics depleted front court (Kevin Garnett starts at center) the move makes a lot of sense. Williams last played in the NBA for Dallas and has been in the D-League. He would help Greg Stiemsma off the bench.
