Ronnie Brewer was waived by the Bulls on Tuesday. Brewer's $1.3 million was fully unguaranteed, and he wasn't likely to have a significant role this season with Jimmy Butler, Mike Dunleavy, Tony Snell and Doug McDermott on the roster.

Ronnie Brewer pleaded not guilty to a DUI charge in Beverley Hills, California. He was charged last month and prosecutors allege his blood-alcohol content was at 0.15 percent. Brewer could face a suspension should he find his way onto a roster next season.

Bulls sign G/F Ronnie Brewer. Brewer is familiar in Chicago, where he played from 2010-2012, and he was brought in to provide some emergency depth on the wings for the playoffs. He averaged 0.3 in 23 appearances with the Rockets this season and his days as a viable fantasy option are long gone.

Ronnie Brewer is expected to start at small forward again Friday. With Chandler Parsons (knee, hamstring, calf) almost certainly out, there's a lot of minutes to be had. But Brewer is just a defensive stopper that will share time with both Omri Casspi and Francisco Garcia. It's a very low-upside fantasy situation.

Ronnie Brewer did not score in his start on Wednesday night. He stepped in with Chander Parsons (knee) out of the lineup and it was certainly a forgettable night. Brewer has no fantasy value. Meanwhile, Omri Casspi (nine points, fix boards, four assists and no triples) and Francisco Garcia (three points in 22 minutes) were mild disappointments tonight.

Ronnie Brewer will start in place of the injured Chandler Parsons (knee) vs. the Lakers on Wednesday. He's played a total of six minutes in the last six games, so the Rockets aren't likely going to count on Brewer too much. His shooting numbers are pretty ugly at just 25 percent from the field on the season, so there's no reason to pick him up. Expect Francisco Garcia and Omri Casspi to have bigger roles off the bench.

Ronnie Brewer (calf) is available to play for the Rockets on Wednesday. He's missed the last four games with a strained calf. Continue to ignore him in all leagues.
