Pelicans draft pick Pierre Jackson will begin his professional career with ASVEL Basket in France. There was no lack of interest from teams overseas and presumably ASVEL will give Jackson plenty of playing time to develop his skills before making the leap back to the NBA. His departure gives Brian Roberts a clear path to backup PG minutes behind Jrue Holiday, though Tyreke Evans will probably dominate the ball for New Orleans' second unit.
