Scott (knee) has been ruled out for Saturday's game against the Spurs, the Atlanta Journal Constitution's Chris Vivlamore reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tiago Splitter (hip) is active and available and should take most of the minutes vacated by Scott in the frontcourt Saturday. His next chance to play will be Monday against the Heat.

Scott (knee) is still questionable for Saturday's tilt against San Antonio, KL Chouinard of Hawks.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Knee was able to participate in shootaround, which bodes well for his chances of playing. Coach Budenholzer indicated Scott, "did a little bit, but not everything" during shootaround. At the moment, he appears to be a true game-time decision. Expect an update on his status closer to tip-off.

Scott (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's game against San Antonio, Chris Vivlamore of the AJC reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott's lingering knee soreness kept him out of Thursday's meeting with Oklahoma City and leaves his status going into Saturday's game in question. If he is unable to play, the Hawks will likely still have some front court depth with Tiago Splitter probable to return to action.

Scott has officially been ruled out of Thursday's game against the Thunder, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott missed the Hawks' previous game against the Mavericks on Wednesday, and he'll sit out the second of back-to-back games on Thursday as well due to a lingering knee issue. He attempted to go through pregame warm-ups, but it's giving him enough of an issue that he'll remain sidelined. His next opportunity to return will be Saturday versus the Spurs.

Scott (knee) is expected to go through pregame warm-ups Thursday and will be a game-time decision for the Hawks' tilt against the Thunder, Chris Vivlamore of the AJC reports.
EDGE Analysis
Scott sat out of Wednesday's road win in Dallas due to lingering soreness, but the Virginia product will test out his ailing knee before making a decision on his status for Thursday's game in Oklahoma City. If he is unable to play, look for Mike Muscala to see a bump in minutes given that Tiago Splitter (hip) has already been ruled out against the Thunder.

Scott recorded a season-high 15 points (6-8 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 1-1 FT) to go with one assist and one rebound over 18 minutes in Tuesday's win over the Celtics.
EDGE Analysis
The scoring total exceeded Scott's output from the Hawks' previous six games combined, and marked the first time he finished in double figures in the point column all season. Scott is averaging approximately five minutes less than he did a season ago, and despite Tuesday's excellent shooting outing, that's unlikely to change unless the Hawks are without the services of Al Horford or Paul Millsap in the frontcourt for an extended period of time.

Scott has averaged 2.6 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.4 assists since the beginning of the Hawks' 2015-16 season.
EDGE Analysis
The power forward has participated in every game this season for Atlanta with averaging 12.6 minutes per contest. Although Scott isn't performing at the same rate as in the preseason when he tallied an impressive 20 points and 10 rebounds against the Pistons, he's a solid player and could see improvement in the season ahead.

Scott tallied 20 points (10-13 FG), 10 rebounds, an assist, and a block over 29 minutes in Friday's 115-87 preseason loss to the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
After a very quiet start to the preseason, Scott exploded from the field over the final two games, shooting at a blistering 73 percent (19-for-26) clip over that span. The fourth-year pro also posted his first double-double of the exhibition slate against the Pistons, often looking like one of the few Hawks who took an interest in the contest. Scott's heap of legal entanglements have apparently done little to distract him on the court, and he figures to see some consistent minutes in relief of Paul Millsap at the four during the regular season.

Scott pitched in 19 points (9-13 FG, 1-1 FT), three assists, and eight rebounds over 25 minutes in Sunday's 101-92 loss to the Heat.
EDGE Analysis
Scott responded to his longest stint on the court this preseason with his best performance by far. The fourth-year pro tallied a preseason best in scoring on outstanding 9-of-13 shooting from the field, and also posted high-water marks in rebounds and assists. Scott figures to open the regular season slated for regular minutes off the bench in relief of Paul Millsap, but his pending legal matters certainly cloud his long-term future.

Atlanta Hawks forward Mike Scott is facing up to 25 years in prison after being charged with felony drug possession for an incident that occurred in July, according to the Atlanta Journal Constitution. Scott was pulled over, along with his younger brother, and was found to be carrying 35.2 grams of marijuana and 10.9 grams of Schedule I drug MDMA. The marijuana charge carries a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison, while the MDMA charge carries a maximum of 15. All drugs confiscated in the incident have been sent to an independent lab for testing and a court date will not be set until after the results come back, likely sometime during the upcoming NBA season. Scott averaged 7.8 points and 2.9 rebounds per game in 68 appearances last season, but his status with the team can now be called into question, with such serious legal matters hanging over his head.
