Speights saw some extra minutes due to garbage time and it's unknown how long David Lee and Andrew Bogut will be out. Owners should be looking at a speculative spot play with skepticism. The same goes for Jordan Crawford, who added 16 points on 6-of-18 shooting with three treys, two boards, two assists and one steal in 34 minutes.

Marreese Speights started at PF on Sunday but he played only 19 minutes to finish with four points, eight rebounds and one block. David Lee's hamstring injury has thrust Speights into a bigger role, and it's unclear whether Lee will be ready for Tuesday's game in Dallas. Even if Lee sits out, however, Speights' upside is limited by the Warriors' ability to go small with Draymond Green and Harrison Barnes in the frontcourt.

He had some success against his former and it's a little unusual for big men to do well against the Grizzlies. Speights hasn't been blurbed since December 18 and it took the combination of Andrew Bogut and Jermaine O'Neal's injuries, the Sixers mailing in their season and Speights timing his once-per-season explosion perfectly. If the same guys miss time he might be worth a look for spot-action in the Warriors' next game on Wednesday against the Heat. Otherwise, take a picture of this because it's not happening again.

Marreese Speights came off the bench for 12 points and six rebounds in just 18 minutes on Tuesday. He had 16 points and nine boards on Friday, but outside of those two games, he hasn't done enough to even be on the fantasy radar. However, if he keeps playing like this and posts another couple solid lines to finish out the week, he will grab our attention. On Sunday, he sandwiched a line of five points and three rebounds between the good games, which speaks to our point.

Marreese Speights played just 16 minutes, but hit 7-of-14 shots on his way to season highs of 16 points and nine rebounds. Amazingly, eight of his rebounds were offensive, and while he was instrumental in keeping the Dubs alive tonight, it's hard to see him doing this again anytime soon. Ignore him for now.

The Warriors have agreed on a three-year deal with free agent Marreese Speights. Speights had a mostly disappointing season with the Cavs last year but it's also possible that his style didn't work with known disciplinarian Byron Scott. In Golden State he'll be a backup rotational big playing behind David Lee and Andrew Bogut.

Marreese Speights has declined his $4.5 million player option with the Cavs and will become a free agent.

The Cavs are hoping Marreese Speights opts out of his contract, according to the News-Herald. Per the report, the team fears Speights "might not fit their culture." Wherever Speights has gone, he has shown great flashes of productivity, but there have been relentless questions and concerns about his fit and personality with the culture of the team. If Speights does opt out, he should have no issue finding interested suitors despite the checkered past.
