Gasol will sit out Thursday's game against the Hornets for rest purposes, Ronald Tillery of the Memphis Commercial Appeal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach J.B. Bickerstaff mentioned before Wednesday's game against the 76ers that he would hold his big man out Thursday for rest on the second night of a back-to-back set. While it will be worth it to monitor his status up until tip-off to make sure that's the case, we're going to go ahead and rule him out for now. In Gasol's place, look for Deyonta Davis to jump into the top unit. Davis is coming off a strong 16-point, 11-rebound double-double against the 76ers on Wednesday.

Gasol tallied five points (2-8 FG, 1-3 3Pt), six rebounds, four assists and one block across 25 minutes in Wednesday's 119-105 loss to the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol returned from his absence Monday due to an illness and struggled from the floor, hitting just 25 percent of his shots. He should get back to his double-digit scoring ways next time out, but it was encouraging to see him contribute solid rebound and assist totals Wednesday night.

Gasol (illness) will start at center for Wednesday's contest against the 76ers, Eric Hasseltine of the Grizzlies Radio Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Gasol will re-join the starting five after being cleared to play Wednesday following Monday's absence. Gasol has averaged 17.3 points, 7.7 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 1.3 blocks across 33.3 minutes over his past three outings.

Gasol (illness) will play during Wednesday's contest against the 76ers, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol was originally listed as probable for the contest, so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that he will see the court against Philly. The move will presumably kick Deyonta Davis back to the pine.

Gasol (illness) is officially listed as probable for Wednesday's game against the 76ers.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol was able to go through a full practice Tuesday, so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that the Grizzlies expect to have him available. Look for confirmation on that following Wednesday's morning shootaround, but if all goes as planned, he should be in the starting lineup at center. With Gasol back, Deyonta Davis and Ivan Rabb are candidates to see a few less minutes in the frontcourt.

Gasol (illness) returned to practice Tuesday and hopes to be available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers, Michael Wallace of Grizzlies.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol came down with illness earlier this week, eventually having to sit out Monday's contest against the Nets because of it. However, he's since rejoined the team for practice and it appears as though he's trending towards being available for Wednesday's game against the 76ers. How he feels during morning shootaround and pregame warmups Wednesday will ultimately determine whether or not he'll be given the go ahead to play. Gasol's return would send Deyonta Davis back to the bench.

Gasol (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Nets, Rob Fischer of Fox Sports Southeast reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol is reportedly dealing with a case of the flu and isn't feeling well enough to take the court Monday. Considering it's not any sort of injury, it likely won't keep Gasol sidelined for long and there's a chance he returns as soon as Wednesday's tilt with the 76ers. In the meantime, look for the likes of Deyonta Davis, Jarell Martin and Ivan Rabb to all see added minutes in the frontcourt.

Gasol did not participate in shootaround due to an illness and is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the Nets, Michael Wallace of the Grizzlies' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear at this time how severe Gasol's illness is, but it must be something that came about very recently given that the big man was not listed on the injury report when it was first released Sunday afternoon. Expect Gasol to attempt to go through pre-game warmups Monday night before likely being a game-time call. If he is unable to play, both Deyonta Davis and Jarell Martin would likely take on additional minutes at center in Brooklyn.

Gasol had 21 points (7-14 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 10 rebounds, eight assists and two blocks in 33 minutes during Thursday's 111-110 loss to the Bulls.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol flirted with a triple-double as the Grizzlies fell to another loss. They starting to firm as the favorites for the worst record in the league, much to the displeasure of Gasol. Despite the lackluster team performances, Gasol continues to be a nice source of production across the board. He should continue to produce nicely but owners need to be aware of the odd rest game from time to time.

Gasol ended up with 17 points (8-17 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 1-3 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block in 31 minutes during Monday's 121-103 loss to the Bucks.
EDGE Analysis
Gasol returned to the lineup following a one-game absence for rest purposes, as the veteran franchise center will be held out of the second game of back-to-backs. The Grizzlies lost for the 18th consecutive time, so Thursday's matchup with the Bulls could be a decent occasion to bet on a big game from Gasol.
