Kennard (thigh) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Heat.

Kennard was a late addition to the injury report due to thigh soreness and will ultimately join a long list of inactive players for Memphis. Ziaire Williams will likely slide into the starting rotation in Kennard's absence, but David Roddy, GG Jackson and Jacob Gilyard are also candidates for increased roles.

Kennard didn't appear on the Grizzlies' initial injury report, but he's now in danger of missing his first contest since Dec. 29. With Memphis banged up, Kennard has drawn eight consecutive starts and scored in double figures in seven straight games, including season highs in points (19) and assists (seven) during Monday's win over Toronto. If Kennard is sidelined, more usage will open up for John Konchar, Ziaire Williams and Vince Williams.

Kennard closed Monday's 108-100 victory over the Raptors with 19 points (7-18 FG, 5-13 3Pt, 0-1 FT), three rebounds and seven assists in 35 minutes.

EDGE Analysis

The veteran guard has stepped into a starting role for the shorthanded Grizzlies and is responding with solid numbers. Kennard's 19 points Monday were a season high, and he's drained multiple threes in eight straight games since moving into the starting five, averaging 13.8 points, 4.4 assists, 3.4 boards and 3.4 threes over that stretch while shooting 50.0 percent (27-for-54) from beyond the arc.

Kennard posted 14 points (5-9 FG, 4-7 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and six assists across 30 minutes during Saturday's 125-96 loss to the Bulls.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard racked up a team-high six assists, adding 14 points on 5-of-9 shooting. It was another solid performance, keeping him well and truly in the discussion as a 12-team asset. Unfortunately, the Grizzlies are likely to be on the wrong end of some blowout games over the coming weeks, meaning Kennard's minutes may not reflect what we would usually see from a starter. With that said, he typically offers enough to be rostered in most leagues.

Kennard had 18 points (6-9 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in 31 minutes during Thursday's 118-103 loss to the Timberwolves.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard led all players in Thursday's contest in threes made while adding a pair of rebounds and assists and posting a new season high in scoring in a losing effort. Kennard has connected on at least five threes in two games this year, finishing with 15 or more points in three outings.

Kennard racked up 11 points (4-7 FG, 3-5 3Pt), seven rebounds and six assists over 29 minutes during Friday's 128-119 loss to the Clippers.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard has started in each of Memphis' last three games, and this was the second consecutive contest in which he scored in double digits. Kennard's fantasy value lies almost entirely on what he can do as a shooter, and on that note, he's averaging 9.3 points while shooting 50 percent from three-point range in his seven appearances since returning from a knee injury on Dec. 31.

Kennard racked up 14 points (5-7 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 1-1 FT), five rebounds, four assists and one steal across 23 minutes during Tuesday's 120-103 win over the Mavericks.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard moved to the starting lineup two games ago due to Memphis' lack of depth. The veteran sharpshooter has taken advantage of the opportunity and delivered solid shooting numbers, particularly with his three-point shooting. Kennard has drained three or more threes in four of his last six games, and he will remain valuable in fantasy -- even if as a streaming option -- as long as he continues to knock down threes consistently.

Kennard is starting Sunday's game against the Suns, Duane Rankin of The Arizona Republic reports.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard has made four appearances off the bench since returning from a lengthy absence, and he's averaged 7.8 points, 3.0 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 20.0 minutes per game. However, he'll make his first start of the season Sunday with Ja Morant (shoulder) sidelined.

Kennard totaled 17 points (6-9 FG, 5-8 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists in 20 minutes during Sunday's 123-92 loss to the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard made the most of his minutes in a 31-point loss to Sacramento, and he drained a season-high five threes in his first outing since Nov. 14. Kennard has been one of the shooters in the league this season, making 40.7 percent of his shots from beyond the arc in nine appearances.

EDGE Analysis

Kennard is finally back for the Grizzlies after sitting out the past 20 games. He's likely to have restrictions, but the Grizzlies will be happy to have the sharpshooter back in the mix. He'll have increased competition for minutes with Vince Williams playing well, however.
