Aldridge (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) and the Nets won't play the Trail Blazers on Thursday after the NBA postponed the game due to Brooklyn not having the league-required eight available players for that contest.
EDGE Analysis
Even after the NBA postponed its most recent two scheduled contests for Sunday and Tuesday, the Nets won't return enough players from injury or health and safety protocols five days after their last game. Brooklyn's next game is set for Christmas Day against the Lakers, but Aldridge isn't a safe bet to gain clearance for that contest.

Aldridge will miss Tuesday's game against Toronto due to health and safety protocols, Shams Charania of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Nets now have five players in the protocols, which could be related to their game against the Bulls back on Dec. 4, as the Bulls have been hit by a COVID-19 outbreak and wound up having multiple games postponed. It hasn't yet reached that point for the Nets, so expect Nicolas Claxton and Blake Griffin to see increased minutes at center until Aldridge is ready to return.

Aldridge logged 15 points (4-8 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), five rebounds, one assist and one block in 25 minutes during Sunday's 116-104 win over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge played his second-straight game after a rest day during the week. The veteran has remained steady as Brooklyn's starting center over the past three weeks, averaging 15.1 points and 5.5 rebounds since taking over the starting spot

Aldridge will play Friday against the Hawks, Alex Schiffer of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the big man will be back in action after both he and Kevin Durant rested for Wednesday's loss in Houston. Prior to Wednesday, Aldridge had started six straight contests, averaging 15.2 points, 6.0 rebounds and 0.8 blocks in that span.

Aldridge (rest) won't play Wednesday against the Rockets, Kristian Winfield of the New York Daily News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge scored 15 points and grabbed five rebounds during Tuesday's win over the Mavericks, but the veteran will get Wednesday off due to rest. Kevin Durant (rest) will also sit out, so the Nets frontcourt will likely be led by Nicolas Claxton, James Johnson and Paul Millsap, but Blake Griffin may also get an opportunity to work his way back into the rotation.

Aldridge accumulated 18 points (8-12 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) and six rebounds across 28 minutes during Saturday's 113-107 loss to the Suns.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge thrived off the bench for the Nets earlier this month and has looked good since moving into the starting lineup two games ago, putting up 17 and 18 points, respectively. The veteran power forward might be past his prime, but he can still produce when needed. He has scored at least 15 points in five games in a row while also pulling down 7.6 boards per game and shooting a strong 58.1 percent from the field in that span.

Aldridge is in the starting lineup for Wednesday's game against the Celtics, Michael Grady of YES Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge will make his first start of the season after posting his first double-double of the year in Monday's victory over the Cavs. As a result, Blake Griffin will shift to the bench. Aldridge is averaging 13.4 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 21.4 minutes per game this season.

Aldridge produced 21 points (10-14 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), 11 rebounds and one block across 34 minutes during Monday's 117-112 victory over Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge put together an efficient shooting night, finishing in double figures for the third consecutive game. He remains in a bench role behind Blake Griffin but continues to see 20-plus minutes on a nightly basis, averaging 21.4 minutes over 17 contests in 2021.

Aldridge provided 24 points (11-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and one block across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 109-99 victory over the Cavaliers.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge made easy work out of Ed Davis, who was getting a spot start for Jarrett Allen while Evan Mobley (elbow) is also sidelined. Aldridge's scoring has been inconsistent this season. He has four 20-point games and six games with fewer than 10 points.

Aldridge posted 24 points (11-19 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 2-2 FT), seven rebounds, two assists and a block in Wednesday's 109-99 victory over the Cavs.
EDGE Analysis
Aldridge saw a bump in minutes with Paul Millsap (personal) and Nicolas Claxton (non-COVID illness) both sidelined and performed exceptionally well, finishing the outing with only his second 20-plus point game in the month of November. The low-post threat hasn't really expanded his range like many assumed would occur entering his second stint with the Nets, but that could be a byproduct of a more concentrated minutes restriction to begin the season.
