The Spurs were able to resist a persistent Nuggets team, forcing a Game 7 which will be in Denver on Saturday. Aldridge has been a consistent source of points and rebounds for the Spurs across the seven-game series and will need to at his best if they are to force the upset Saturday.

Aldridge chipped in 17 points (7-13 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-3 FT), 10 rebounds, two steals, and one block in 31 minutes during Tuesday's 108-90 Game 5 loss to the Nuggets.

EDGE Analysis

Aldridge has gone for a double-double in two of the last three games. However, he has also failed to score 20 points in two of the last three. It's likely that the 33-year-old big man will need to step up offensively in order for the Spurs to keep up with the Nuggets and extend the series during Thursday's Game 6.

Aldridge was actually much more effective and efficient in this one than he was in Saturday's Game 1 victory (15 points on six-of-19 from the field). With the series shifting to San Antonio for the next two tilts, Aldridge will try to get it together offensively in hopes that he can help his team maintain their stolen home-court advantage.
