Irving (thumb) is questionable for Wednesday's game against the Suns, Eddie Sefko of the Mavericks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Irving sprained his right thumb during Monday's loss to the Celtics and was wearing a brace following the game, but he said X-rays came back negative. Luka Doncic (back) and Dante Exum (heel) are also questionable, so Dallas' backcourt may be shorthanded versus Phoenix.

Irving suffered a sprained right thumb during Monday's game against the Celtics, Eddie Sefko of the Mavericks' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Irving stated after the contest that he suffered the injury in the first quarter while attempting to swipe the ball from Jayson Tatum, and he was spotted wearing a brace. The team has yet to comment on Irving's status for Wednesday's game against the Suns, but he said he doesn't expect to miss any time as a result of the injury, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com. "It's going to hurt," said Irving. "I don't think there's anybody in the NBA that's 100 percent night to night."

Irving and the Mavericks won't face the Warriors on Friday since the game was postponed following the sudden passing of Golden State assistant coach Dejan Milojevic.
EDGE Analysis
Milojevic passed away suddenly early Wednesday morning, and Friday's matchup will be moved back as a result. The Mavericks' next scheduled game is now Monday against the Celtics.

Irving had 12 points (4-16 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 3-3 FT), five rebounds and six assists over 32 minutes during Wednesday's 127-110 loss to the Lakers.
EDGE Analysis
Irving left the game for over four minutes in the first quarter due to an apparent hip injury, but he was able to return and finish out the contest. However, his output was well below his recent norm, as he posted just 12 points on 4-of-16 shooting after averaging 34.3 points on 50.0 percent shooting over his previous seven contests. It's possible the the hip issue affected Irving after his return to the game, but it's also worth noting that Luka Doncic was able to suit up after missing three straight contests. It's not surprising that Irving's output dipped with Doncic back on the court, though the pair has coexisted well this season, so fantasy managers should expect Wednesday's tepid output from Irving to be an aberration regardless of whether Doncic suits up.

Irving left Wednesday's game versus the Lakers due to an apparent hip injury after colliding with LeBron James, but he later returned, Grant Afseth of SI.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Irving missed over four minutes of game time, as he exited Wednesday's contest with 7:36 remaining in the first quarter and returned with 3:08 left in the same quarter. The star guard will look to build off his 42-point performance against New Orleans.

Irving provided 42 points (13-28 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 13-15 FT), seven rebounds, seven assists and one block across 41 minutes during Monday's 125-120 win over New Orleans.
EDGE Analysis
Irving did a little bit of everything for Dallas, leading all players in Monday's contest in scoring while pacing the Mavericks in assists and ending second on the team in rebounds in a winning effort. Irving has scored 40 or more points in two games this season, both of which have occurred over his last three appearances.

Irving accumulated 44 points (15-26 FG, 6-10 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds, 10 assists and two steals in 40 minutes during Thursday's 128-124 win over the Knicks.
EDGE Analysis
The Mavericks were without star point guard Luka Doncic (ankle) on Thursday, but they were still able to pull off a win thanks in large part to Irving's standout performance. The veteran guard went off for a season-high scoring total, with 20 of his 44 points coming in the third quarter. Irving also found time to dish out a game-high 10 dimes, resulting in his third double-double of the campaign. He has posted at least 33 points in each of his past three games and should continue to feature as Dallas' primary offensive weapon whenever Doncic is unable to suit up.

Irving logged 33 points (11-25 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 9-10 FT), eight rebounds, four assists, one block and four steals in 40 minutes during Tuesday's 120-103 loss to Memphis.
EDGE Analysis
Irving might have finished with one of his best scoring outputs of the season while ending just two rebounds shy of a double-double, but he also needed 25 shots to hit that mark and wasn't very efficient overall. Although his percentages weren't very good, it's worth noting that Irving has been on a tear of late, scoring 24 or more points in four consecutive contests while averaging a robust 30.3 points per game in that stretch.

Irving had 35 points (14-27 FG, 6-8 3Pt, 1-1 FT), eight rebounds, five assists, two blocks and three steals in 39 minutes during Sunday's 115-108 win over the Timberwolves.
EDGE Analysis
Irving was impressive Sunday and stepped up in the fourth quarter, delivering clutch buckets down the stretch to lift Dallas to a massive win at home. Irving has looked good since returning from a heel injury that sidelined him for 12 games, averaging 25.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game in four outings since stepping back onto the hardwood.

Irving posted 24 points (10-18 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-1 FT), nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals across 29 minutes during Friday's 139-103 victory over Portland.
EDGE Analysis
With multiple Mavericks players, including Luka Doncic (ankle) and Grant Williams (ankle), missing Friday's game, Irving stepped up to lead the team in scoring and tied Jaden Hardy for the most assists on the team. Irving has played the last three games after missing Dallas' previous 12 games with a heel injury. The 2011 first-overall pick out of Duke is averaging 22.3 points on 51.0 percent shooting, 9.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, 1.0 blocks and 1.3 steals over 30.0 minutes per game over that span.
